Hi guys.
Now i am not religous or anything like that but i thought i would share this with you. made me think a bit. it's called 7%

A holy man was having a conversation with the Lord one
day and said, Lord, I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like.'
The Lord led the holy man to two doors. He opened one of the doors and the
holy man looked in. In the middle of the room was a large round table. In
the middle of the table was a large pot of stew, which smelled delicious and
made the holy man's mouth water.

The people sitting around the table were thin and
sickly. They appeared to be famished. They were holding spoons with very
long handles that were strapped to their arms and each found it possible to
reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful. But because the handle was
longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their
mouths. The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and
suffering.

The Lord said, 'You have seen Hell.'

They went to the next room and opened the door. It was
exactly the same as the first one. There was the large round table with the
large pot of stew which made the holy man's mouth water. The people were
equipped with the same long-handled spoons, but here the people were well
nourished and plump, laughing and talking. The holy man said, 'I don't
understand. 'It is simple,' said the Lord. 'It requires but one
skill. You see, they have learned to feed each other. The greedy think
only of themselves.'

When Jesus died on the cross, he was thinking of
you. Its estimated 93% won't forward this. If you are one of the 7%
who will, forward this with the title '7%'. I'm in the 7% Remember that I
will always share my spoon with you.

Hello Mike.

Nice to see you back.
I did say in my last post on this subject that it would be my last. But you did bring up a very good point. Young people often complain that they have nothing to do. The armed forces can give them that oppertunity to find some trade which they could use in civi life. It as i have said before, will teach them respect and life's values.
I know from my roles as team leader and supervisor that to develop a person with low conferdence you must push them and show them that they can do the job.
It is the same with youngters. If we force them to learn new trades and show them that gang life is leading them nowhere then a life behide bars. Then it is our responsibility to do that.
Who knows they my like the armed forces and stay there. Even though we as a socitity has forced them into the forces, we then sit back and let them make the choices. Do they go back to gang life of do they make something of thier life's.

Hi all.
Well i have just one final thing to say in all this.
Yes trish society has turned it's back on these kids, but just like our brave service men/women, these kids can choose between going out and causing damage, mayhem and kicking and stabing someone to death. Please do not tell me that society has turned these kids in to senless animals. They know what they are doing and they know it is wrong. We as a soceity must take steps to stop the muggings, the damage and the killings on our streets. I for one would rather see these kidsmade into responsible men and women Taught to respect others, learn disipline and rather the kill or and injure people on the streets of our country and our own folk, do a service to our country and kill our enemies instead.

Hi Coppy
What i am trying to say is that if society can not cope with the ever growing problem with the estate gangs then something must be do. Criminals are evaluated by court psychiatrist, then they should be able to determine if someone is fit to go to jail or not. The same should be for youngters too If they are fit to do national service.
Bye the way i lije your pic

Hi Suzy

I think you are being a bit unfair on us grown up lads.

We stop peeing on the toilet seats well at least at home now, and we do tend to tidy up now, when the mum is coming to visit, or a girl.
OK i hold my hand up, yes we do fart, but it mostly is when you girls buy us a curry or a kebab.
So really it is not our fault, we are all grown up now.

Hi Coopy
This what i mean, we must make sure that it is OK to send young people into the military. I know from experience that not all young people are suitable for the the arm forces. Some just need to be put in there. But some could suffer if we get it wrong.
By the way nice to meet you

Hello Seabiscuit

well i have thought about this for almost 10 seconds. The first part of your question is simple CHELSEA are going to win

Portsmouth however are the team to go down.

Now Man Utd will do well if Mr Ferguson does not have a heart attack.
and Rio Ferdinand does not play like he did the other night against St Petersburg.

Hi.
Well i think that eye contact is very important part of communication.
It tells you that, the person is interested in you. I have growen tied of night clubs now , but still like to go to pubs quite often. Yes i meet girls there, and yes it is the eyes i look at first. Not the things six inches lower. No i feel commuication starts with the eyes and the conversation.

Hi Beenabout.

Yes of course you are going to get your bad apples. But what i am trying to say is that even as volunteers it is a had job to complete the training. And when you come to the regiment they can cause problems.
I am not saying there is anything wrong with the military system. All am saying that it should not be forced to take any young person who has proved him or her self unwilling to accept the rules and values of our society. It is not the responsibility for the armed forces to teach youngsters values, that they do not want. It is better to say to them it is your choice prison or learn. If they choose the armed forces then i think they will learn. If they choose another course then that is up to them. Our armed forces need people who are willing to learn.

Hi,
I joined the army as an infantry soldier and even as a volunteer it is tuff. I joined as a boy soldier at sixteen and half years old. It was a passport to hell. But on saying that it taught me many lessons. It taught me to respect, discipline, and how to behave. this was in 1978. I left a year later through family reasons.

Yes i do believe it is time to introduce such things as national service to youngsters now. But what we must remember is that letting louts into the army is not the answer. We must make sure that each individual is ready and suitable to train as a fighting force. Let's face it, when they are taken into the army, they will be trained to fight and kill people. When we decided to send someone into the army we say that they will learn to fight for our country. Which means that they will learn how to use weapons.

I have lived in Isreal for three years. There as a boy you are reqiured to go into the armed forces at the age sixteen and half and serve 3 years there. Yes am sure that it turns most boys into men, and it teaches them a lot about life. Respect, loyality and values.

But for some it teaches skills that they when leave can use on the street. I have seen it happen. That is why i feel a blanket national service for young people. We must be careful who we let in.

Well Ben.
It is a risk, If we find someone in a diiferent country it is no lesser risk then finding someone here. The only difference is if you decide to stay there. money, the same here, Society and way of life, You move from Kent to Liverpool you have to adapt. The rest i see no difference from moving from one end of the country to the other. So in answer to your question. We love poeple for who they are, not not because of where they come from, who they are and how they live.
