The first beagle I had lived to be 18 years old, and I didn't have too much trouble with her until she was ill at the end.

The 2nd one is now 6 years old, and was a bit more defiant, than the 1st.

I work all day, and there was no question that she would have to be kenneled for the hours I was gone, because she had the habit of "going" when and where she felt like it !

She now (most of the time), comes and gets me, and I ask if she wants to go outside, and she runs for the door.

This took some patience and constant saying the words,"Go Outside?" and showing the action,(Opening the door for her).
I also say "Go Potty" until she does, before she is allowed to play.

However, she still has accidents if I am too busy to notice her asking me to go out.

She has been used to the kennel since she was 10 weeks old, so she doesn't think it is any sort of punishment.
She curls up on her blanket and sleeps most of the day.
She does not go potty in there, unless I am unusually late getting home.

She goes in there by herself even when I am home if I am busy, because she is so used to it.

I don't know if she will ever get over the accidents that she has occationally, but it keeps the house safe having her in the kennel during my away hours.

In response to:
can anyone say ATTENTION???

thats all I have to say...
there is no reason to leave and be on another site with so called friends..and not stay here too....

I'm lost but maybe I just don't understand.......

later and have a good flight..
I am not going to any other sites, I really liked it here, but there was just too much tension and argueing etc.

I am a positive thinker, and that stuff just drains me!

Maybe I'll see you again someday, if the site calms down.
Take Care!handshake

ALL of the threads ending with " the person above you" and "the person under you"....then ALL the infantile "who's the hottest..."
what's the ole American saying..."gag me with a spoon...."
ad infinitum...
I agree with this, and unfortunately I think about 50% of the threads are DUM!!laugh

lol... yeah, the extended version of the exorcist was more intense than its original. in legion, the freakiest part was when the old woman in the retirement home was crawling up the wall on on the ceiling above the nurse's head! gives me goosebumps even now, lol :)
OOOHHH! That crawling up walls and over heads stuff by people, is so CREEPY!uh oh!
Gues I won't be renting this one soon either!laugh

In response to:
does anyone remember... "Legion"?
it was the pre-quil to the exorcist... very scary, but the book gave me nightmares for a week!
That's what the 1st "Exorcist" did to me!
No sleep for a week!!uh oh!

My X bought me the version with all the "New scarier scenes", (that were actually written in the book), but I returned it and exchanged it for something else without even watching it!

Still haven't seen it!
Don't think I will!uh oh!
I never saw "Legion", but heard of it.
