I hope my financial status is not a problem... I can't feed them (I WILL NOT risk those wonderful bodies)... I WILL NOT clothe them (Why?dancing ) They WILL NOT have a room of their own, let alone a bed...

With the PDF document open in Acrobat 7 Standard or Professional, choose File > Save As. In the Save As dialog box, choose Microsoft Word Document from the Format (Mac) or Type (Windows) pop-up menu. Then simply click the Save button, and open the document in Word for editing To check or change the settings that Acrobat uses to convert PDF content to Word format, open Preferences (choose Acrobat > Preferences on the Mac or Edit > Preferences in Windows) and choose Convert From PDF from the list of Categories on the left side of the dialog box. Then choose Microsoft Word Document from the Converting From PDF scrollable list. The window at right shows you how Acrobat will handle the conversion, including whether it will include comments, preserve columns and downsample images. To change these settings, click the Edit Settings button. (Alternatively, you can change these settings when you convert any given document by clicking the Settings button in the Save As dialog box.)

There are PDF conversion programs that are cheaper then bloody Adobe. Adobe thinks we are all made of money. PDF Converter is one ... It is given out free on Computer Magazine DVDs. But you have to find it first.

I'll look through some of my old mags for it.

STOP!

Do not ... I just installed it and ran it, I simply choose the option below "continue with trial version"

Then I needed to mark three pages per conversation, since there is the only limitation. The result was great. I tried with a two column cartoon (text and images) from Adobes homepage.

I think you save yourself time, if you run with this, you need to do 7 conversations and then simply add the pages together.

I've tried...after I select the pages for conversion it fails to launch Word... Honestly... this is beyond me now, can't frigging believe it... if you are around pls contact me

OK. I got the program installed and running. It does have limitations, it will only allow me to convert three pages. "Purchasing a PIN will eliminate that limitation".

So I guess I'll be checking the others.

In second thought, if I would have started working in the formatting an hour ago, I could have probably made some advancement by now, don't you think?

First seven days. You need to be done before that anyway

Mind you, I did not try it, but the specifications are just what you are looking for. I cross fingers and knock wood here, while you have a go at it.

Or better, have a rest than try it.

I goggled it with the phrase "convert pdf to words"

Then I check trial versions where there are no limitations during the trial.

There was a lot more to pick from, so if this one fails, you know where to find more.

Ok, I just installed it... let's see if my muddled brain can make it work.

You are like a guardian angel, a savior my friend.

Tried to e-mail you my personal thanks, but was prevented... Thank you, thank you, thank you. Keep those fingers crossed and please don't knock too hard on the wood... my head is about to explode...D'oh!

There are no shortcuts between word and pdf.

What you do is :

Creat empty columns in a new word document in similar fashion as the PDF is made.

Copy (Mark and copy in the PDF) each column and paste it into the word doc. Copy and paste images separatly.

If it is a PDF with restriction, you may want to print it into a "PDF printer" (PDF printer is freely available, like cute-pdf etc) and then try again.

Good luck, you will not get much rest yet

I have had this same problem before...then I had a church that had a whole book in PDF format. I changed it for them by getting a program that converts it to WP. I think I still have it on my PC(Windows) system, I'm using a Mac at the time. I'll make a notation to your screen name, and then when I get time will look on the PC and see what the name of the program name is, or if you want to send it, I'd be glad to convert to Word Perfect.

John

Maybe I can look it up in the internet? That's good news!

You can save it if it's a basic format...but if it's a complex one with tables and graphs, you'll loose that.
The only way to convert it safely would be if you have an Adobe license - reader and editor.
Or if you have friends that are into web design, graphic design, marketing....

I think I only have the Adobe reader

And I don't know of any friends in any of those industries... Are you? We could be friends...here's to you

Let me know if it works doll....just go to save as...then scroll to word document....

Ok, imagine this: it is the Table of Contents of a brochure. The table of contents is split into two columns. If I try saving it as a word document, it loses the format, no more two columns, only one and all scrambled up... that's what I mean. And the whole document is written in a 2 columns format. I really don't feel like unscrambling the whole thing. Waste of time.frustrated
