I'm Sure many of you know the song 'Never gonna give you up' - Rick Astley, and the fact that it is connected with the internet Phenomena known as Rick-rolling. However, This story has to do with the song and very little about the act of Rick-Rolling.

http://www.yougotrickrolled.com/Anyway, Last night was Father's day so I decided to take my Father and a Friend of mine out to the Local Chinese Buffet (Hunan) for dinner and some Karaoke. My father Fills out his Song, 'The Weight' - The Band and goes up to sing and Gets a pretty big applause because of both his Singing and the song.
Let me give you some back story to how I got pushed into Singing Rick Astley. My Friend Doesn't do Karaoke because he doesn't 'Get any enjoyment from it' But he however enjoys watching people he knows make a fool of themselves. So I start Naming off a few songs I might sing. So he takes the book from me and immediately starts flipping to the sang and says "You should Rick roll the Whole room." So I write it down and here is my Rick-rolling experience.
Well, The next song is mine. It is indeed Rick Astley - 'Never gonna Give you up'. The moment people hear they Music Start begin to cheer. So I start thinking to myself, '
Let's see how they like it when I add in the voice.' So as soon as the lyrics start, I'm not just singing, I start dancing to the song in front of everyone else.
Well my dancing apparently acts as a Catalyst and Suddenly a dance floor forms to my right as the 30 people in the room for karaoke begin dancing in that area.
After roughly 3 minutes, the song ends and I put the microphone on the microphone stand but yet everyone hasn't gotten off the dance floor. They stand there and Cheer like we're at a Friggin concert and I was the star. I'm Taken aback by the experience and Quickly rush back to my table and sit down rather nervously.
My Friend Is slack jawed at the fact it was received so well and my Father is surprised how much I've grown comfortable with a microphone.
The next song I do is Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen. Not nearly as well Received.
