Until now. I always worked the holidays.
One year the staff got together and bought be a Grinch doll.
It was fitting.

More so then anyother year I am not looking forward to the holidays.

I don't mind gift giving.
As I try very hard to find a gift fitting for those I buy for.
The food is never a problem.

I hated being the only one alone.
I hate being asked why I'm not in wedded bliss ( barf )
And this year my hopes for an escape from the talk talk talk of everyone else, was recently crushed.
So I will brave the stupid stores, and smile on xmas day when everyone oohs and ahhs.
And deal with more stupid questions about my life.

This is a valid query.
But sadly, in most cases, once this type of question arises, others with the insane desperate need to whack others on the head with the bible come popping out of the internet woodwork.

Same with the question of, for those who do believe, why?
The majority of the answers will not be straighforward and simple. But filled with words of scripture and organized religion.

I do not believe for the fact of history.
Too many gods for too many people.
I do not believe for the fact of science.
One all powerful being did not create us and only us.
I do not believe for the fact that I am able to choose.
I think for myself and do not allow the thoughts of many to pick and choose from a book what is right or wrong.

But more for the fact I get to have the most amazing vacation.
