ya know......I think it's better to wait till the dust settles - I jumped into a relationship with a guy just separating from his wife, and spent two years of MY life coddling him through it, and listening to all the bitchin and whinin........(that sort of stuff should be dead and buried before even thinking about seeing someone new) - then, when the divorce finally happened - it was 'goodnight sweetheart, I've got my freedom and I need to find myself' !!
Sc*** that!!........don't intend to be a 'recovery' agent for anyone again!!

For those reasons, and others, I think (IMHO) it's better to stay away from 'separated' people......they don't have closure, and they have many issues which they have to 'own'....not foist them on other innocent parties. Their focus should be on 'you' and the relationship with 'you' - not with a third party involved - acrimony spills over into EVERY area of life........not least the emotional one.

Suuny and Balmy??.......heck - Toronto saw the sun for....mmmm.....an hour today?.........time to move again!! LOL!

used to.....till I migrated to Toronto......no more prairie winter's for me!!.......no more -45, no more plug-ins......no more mukluks.......no more shovelling snow........

....and, the poutine is better here!!! (and the beer, and the music....) - but the roads suck!!!!.....gas is cheap, but you should get a rebate from the Highways dept as there are so many endless, pointless, detours........

Used to miss the Cheese Shop on Whyte Avenue.....but there's a better one here....

Come to Toronto - bugger the PST.....the savings on your utilities are more than worth it!! LOL!!

interesting mention of sex addiction.....my X told me, when we just started dating, that he'd been with prostitutes (M/F) during his marriage, but only because he wasn't 'getting any at home' (right....and he would never do it to me, because I was 'special'! ) - but, two years down the road, and he was lying, cheating etc etc....took me a while to wake up to the fact that they will NEVER EVER change!!
So, if there's any hint of infidelity in the past of someone I'm dating - it's a deal breaker - no question. I won't put myself through that again.
FWIW, my X was also a drug addict, and an alcoholic - very cleverly concealed under a super-smooth veneer......
Rather be alone than with someone with no respect for anyone else, let alone themselves.
