That was your first mistake, dont compare yourself to most of society. In my opinion, society is messed up, infact most of the couples are not really happy. Our divorce rate is higher than ever. Pople married or got together for the wrong reasons. ie: chemistry, not wanting to be alone, too hard to support themself (money, desire for dual income). In my opinion people today just "settle". They settle becuase they throw their morals and values right out the window, they disregard their dreams and desires they were looking for, they did that because of the reasons I listed above. And becuase that needle in the hay stack they think cannot be found. Also, In my opinion the man and women lost their roles in society. Family values have gone straight out the window. Women have become head of the household because they have control issues and the men have gone along with it because of their need to be accepted and loved. The men in society let womens lib take over, that in my opinion is why this world is falling apart. Now this is why I am still single. I want to marry my best friend, I only want to marry once. I have my standards and dreams and refuse to settle for less. I would rather be happy and unmarried than married and sad and ultimately divorced. I expect the men to take their headship back. I am not saying the women should be at home and pregnant, but what happen to the family values, what happened to the male and female roles, what are we waiting for a female president and for all hell to break loose. Just my thoughts
