trish123: I feel exactly the same, I havent been on a religious thread for ages but I couldnt resist the flawed premise of this particular one - its such fun

I just suggested to the JW's at my door that if they want to keep their religion that they dont knock again - if they knock on my door surely they are seeking my views but alas no, they are carrying out the great commission given to all christians to get out there and convert - its wearing so thin nowadays because people are so much less prone to accepting hokus pokus as fact..........


I think we are called out a lot because people dont do their research properly, they just spout the same tired arguments time and again


It's called brain washing and it's so sad that in this
day and age so many religions cannot be more open minded
and tolerent.
But then when you look around the world and see the wars
going on still in the name of some religion or other I
wonder if there is any hope for us poor souls!
Oh opps, I forgot we don't even have souls according to
some believers, funny this one should remind me of another.

Wish there was a decent answer to that.
I think it may have something to do with how some fear those who are different.

No and thank our mythical stars for that!.....

It's quite strange, I don't feel the need to question
the beliefs of others, so long as they don't harm
people physically or mentally.
So why oh why are we always called out?

Using the same standards of proof commonly accepted to deny the existence of God, can somebody prove "atheists" exist?

It wouuld be nice if the person attempting to do so, would refrain from using the words, faith, and/or belief; or forms of it.

Supposedly science, and reason are on the side of the mythological "atheists."

And, Christians only have faith, and belief.

So, please don't ask me to accept your belief, and faith as proof "atheists" exist; use science, facts, and reason.


If you beleive atheists are mythical,
why would you be asking for prove that they exist?

Most atheists beleive in live and let live, for me
that encompasses no bible bashing around me.
It's called respect for other people and whatever they
choose to beleive in or not.
So why do so many so called 'christians' have no
respect for people who do not believe as they do?

I would welcome you to the forums, this being
the first thread by anonymous 1 but you don't feel
very new.

Ahhh I used to love my dancing, but the club I belonged
to is no more and there aren't really any places for
someone of my age to go!
I blame the internet and dating sites myself.
I theorise that most men in particular, would rather sit
in front of a moniter to find a date than go out to
a dented and scratched and have to make an effort!

Hey Ocee, how's you?

The place I'm living in now has all but one internal
door handle at about 100cms but the one different is
at 113cms.
You'd think it would make no difference, but it's the
door leading from the hall to the lounge and the number
of times I have hit my arm just above the elbow on
that handle or caught my sleeve and had to back out
again to unhook it.....!!!!
Today I caught a favourite blouse on the darn thing
and ripped it, I was not best pleased!
