HealthyLiving: Thank you so much for your input, Sparky!!

Yes, you are right about it must be one of the big three. I figured as much and knew I was on the right trail so I stopped hunting. I found out what I needed to know, everything points in that direction. No need to know more, really.
This is enough to get the townspeople extremely upset, no matter how far in debt they are!

Which leads us to another topic...
One I have asked before...

Would you trade your FREEDOM for SECURITY?

This is what it boils down to people. Suppose you lived in Hardin. There are only 3400 people living there, very small town. No big industry. These folks are used to living a simple lifestyle. I point this out to establish that they are not used to elaborate lifestyles so they may not be too materialistic.
Captain Michael stated that he was shocked to see people using and selling drugs, out in the open. He said he would start a narcotics division.

Ok, do you have an idea of this type of town? Is it really going to hurt these people if this prison deal does not go thru?
It's never had prisoners, it's never been open. They currently do not depend on it for support. I imagine many work in Billings, 45 minutes away.

Who will this hurt if it does not happen? The city government.
The stubborn city politicians who have not been able to get along with their governor, senators, or even the county!
Somebody in the local government has a BIG problem and needs to get over themselves!

I feel for the people of Hardin. But they should put their foot down and say NO!!! It's time to learn to draw the line.
Since when has "secrecy in government" been okay???

Would you want this going on in your town? Remember, the prison is NOT the issue here. The Training Facility to train foreign mercenaries is the issue. American Police Force contracted the property for building the training center. They were not interested so much in the prison, but since it's there, they would put it to use.

They try to make this deal smell sweet to the people and waving lots of green under the noses of greedy politicians who have gotten this communities government in debt. They are willing to sellout their neighbors!

Now, tell us how you feel.

HL

If you really think about it, it would seem somewhat hypocriticle to allow such training of mercernaries to happen within the borders of the United States when we recently took out the Taliban for much the same thing.

Sometimes I wonder if we're blnd, stupid or perhaps both. The last thing we need is to add this sort of thng to the goods and services we promote/sell at home and abroad.

From personal experiance I can tell you that these agencies/companies are dangerous and they're damn near as well equipped as our military services. What's going to happen when Uncle Sam steps in a quashes one of their contracts? it'll e interesting to see from afar.

Conrad73: Damn,are you becoming like Dude now,practicing Distance-Psychoanalysis!
But then I never said that You have to own a Firearm!
But don't Fuck with mine!

Now there's a novel idea. I really don't see anyone calling names or speaking negatively about those who choose not to own guns in the US but I see countless insults on this thread and others against people, their intelligence and their violent nature who choose to own a gun.

Perhaps those are indeed the people who don't need weapons as it would just give them a more dangerous tool to use when their words fail to achieve their objective.

If people do not wish to own weapons, that's fine. And if people should choose to own weapons and since it's legal to do so, that should be fine too. It should not matter to anyone what if I or anyone else keeps a weapon(s) in thier home.

HealthyLiving: In gathering information on this, all day long
I read that the "parent company" has not been envolved in domestic work in the U.S., only international.

One report stated they work in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Got me to thinking...

Who would have black Mercedes SUVs???

I checked into it, and others are also speculating that the
parent company and the reason the American Police Force has not existed before February 2009, is.......Who has a bad reputation in the U.S. and has even had charges filed against them in U.S. courts and is under investigation?

Who would people not trust, in that they would not want the people to know who they are?
Could the parent company possibly be....
Blackwater??????

What do you think?

Hi HL,

I think you're heading in the right direction. It's almost got to be one of the big three i.e. Black Water, DynCorp or Armour Group. If you ever get through all the front companies and sub contracts it'll be a miracle. I've just completed some work with contracts here and from what I have seen, there are countless names/sub contracts for each of the big three mentioned earlier. Herding cats would be easier than wading through this mess.

Keep in mind that these companies all have egg on their face from some of the shenanigans they have been up to in the past. It only makes sense for them to hide their real identities from the public. The people would crap themselves if they actually heard one of the big three was performing security/police duties in their towns.

this sounds a lot like the police force/security company in the movie Robo Cop. laugh

There are a lot of funny commedians in the world. One would think Rep Grayson could have hired one to speak on his behalf. Grayson's about as funny as he is effective as a political leader i.e. not!

I just love it that our leadership is wasting our money to do shit like this while in session. Maybe we should allow them to run our health care since their so efficient. laugh

Ambrose2007: Hmmm...I'm guessing you'd label "non-credible" anyone who disagrees with the Bush Administration Conspiracy Theory. Is John Farmer "credible" enough for you?

"Farmer, Dean of the Law School at Rutgers University and former Attorney General of New Jersey, was legal counsel to the 9/11 Commission, and in charge of drafting its report.

"And now, having read through lots of further evidence, he’s come to the conclusion that the official version of the story is almost entirely untrue, based on false testimony by the White House, CIA, FBI and NORAD."

http://markcrispinmiller.com/2009/09/911-commission-now-rejects-its-own-report/

Actually, I think he's fairly credible but then again he's not talking about a governemnt conspiracy of bringing down the towers. he's talking about a government cover up of the inept response to 9/11 & Katrina.

"The nation’s top-down command structure was abysmally ill-prepared to respond to the surprise attacks of September 11, 2001 and, as the bungled response to the much-anticipated Hurricane Katrina underscored, remains a bureaucratic hindrance to the “on the ground” way in which crises are actually experienced and most effectively addressed. Equally important, misleading accounts by the administration and the military of key aspects of the air and ground response on 9/11 have set the country up to fail in response to future threats.

That’s the conclusion presented by John J. Farmer, Jr., former Senior Counsel and Team Leader to the 9/11 Commission and now Dean of Rutgers School of Law–Newark, in The Ground Truth: The Untold Story of America Under Attack on 9/11, published today by Riverhead Books. Douglas Brinkley, author of The Great Deluge, says that “all Americans should read” the book, which he describes as “a highly recommended historical curative for our times.” Brinkley praises the “keen analytical insight” with which Farmer “rips the lid off of many mysteries pertaining to both the 9/11 attacks and Hurricane Katrina.” Kirkus Review concludes that the book “makes excellent use of declassified primary-source documents from 9/11” and describes it as “an important systematic brief on how an elaborately constructed national-defense system was penetrated . . . .”

The above quote comes from a review of his book. I haven't read it and don't plan to but it would seem Farmer has made an honest critique of the government's response to 9/11 and their apparant cover up of their lousy response to the attacks. Yet someone has taken this critique and quoted a certain portion "And now, having read through lots of further evidence, he’s come to the conclusion that the official version of the story is almost entirely untrue, based on false testimony by the White House, CIA, FBI and NORAD." to make it seem like he's embracing the whole idea that the Bush Administration orchestrated 9/11. Big difference there and that's why these people who tout these conspiracy theories are not credible. They just can't seem to quote the truth, they only quote that which makes their story seem true.

Ambrose2007: "Journalistic integrity" in not reporting alternative theories to the Bush Administration conspiracy theory? The same kind of journalistic integrity which gave Ron Paul such short shrift, I'm thinking.

I've read the Popular Mechanics 9/11 book, "Debunking 9/11 Myths" (throughout my life, I've been a fan of the magazine, as well as of Mike Shermer's Skeptic Magazine) as well as David Griffen's counter-arguments. By my logic-meter - and I take logic VERY seriously...it's my god, more or less - Griffen et al won hands-down. I think any true skeptic would be HIGHLY skeptical of logical incoherence and unaccounted for evidence in the official conspiracy theory.

Come now Ambrose, if you're going to quote me, quote it right. I said "Even so, they're trying to capture and hold an audience so they're not going to put themselves out on a limb to report somthing like some of the theories about 9/11 without some sort of proof. That's about the only journalistic integrity I believe they have left" if you want to think they lack some integrity because they refuse to print something without proof then so be it. It's no secret the press for the most part hated Bush and wouldhave gone to any length to find something like this. I can imagine for awhile they probably retired to their masterbatoriums to fantasize about such things.

I think we can simply disagree about the rest of your post with the exception of the logic piece. I also value logic and mine brings me to an entirely different conclusion. I've seen a lot of "proof" from both sides and I must say that the lack of proof from the folks who believe the events of 9/11 were a government plot are without merit in both substance and the credability of their sources. If that were not enough, the simple fact that the number of people who had to be involved in such a plot would be in the hundreds if not thousands yet not one person has come forward. A perfect example of this are the rendition flights flown by the CIA to move terror suspects to GITMO. That came out pretty quick yet nothing here. And there are numerous other examples.

Throw in the continuing adjustments to the conspiracy theories whenever one of their theories is proven wrong and I have to come to the conclusion that they're basically full of crap. An example of that is the supposed missile that hit the pentagon and the demand for the release of the gs station surveilance camera. Once released, the picture clearly showed it was a plane yet the conspiracy continues to date.

Ijust don't see it as anything worthy of further review unless they have something new to show and to present it from a more reliable source.

VampyricGoddess: I've dont plenty of research and nowhere have I found a legiment reason Marijuana is or should be illegal. It's baffling. What do you think?

I think you're absolutely right on this.

Personally I think that marijuana is no more harmful than alcohol. In fact, I think it's less harmful. Even so, I would have thought the U.S. Government would have learned through the attempt of prohibition tht it's somewhat pointless to have laws on the books that we're incapable of enforcing. Prohibition brought about bootleggers and only increased the money going into organized crime. Most of this came to an end when prohibition was ended.

I believe the same will be true with Mairjuana. If it's made legal the govt. can tax it and actually make some money to help society in other areas. We sure aren't able to enforce the law.

usahater48: you know now that i live in a foreign country. i,m not going to tell that. i,m sure that the lines here are bugged. but as for being shot. i,m sure it was an accident. i retired because as we both know the army is mostly bullshit. or you have to put up with lots of crap.

Well, let me just say that like you I am right here in Afghanistan and I know many of your collegues. I live and work with them and have traveled to most of the sites where KBR is holding contracts. KBR is infamous for hiring persons from the former soviet union and they work them pretty hard, so I can understand some of your bitterness towards the US.

The thing is, A person raised in the US since the age of five would have a much better command of the english language. Even the Army, as much as we in the Air Force teased them about their intelligence, are capable of knowing the difference between know and no and other simple mistakes you have made in your posts. Don't get me wrong, your command of the english language is betetr than my use of my 2nd language so kudos for that. You seem like a pretty smart guy so there really is no need to fabricate a past.

If I'm wrong on this I am sorry but your story just doesn't make sense. Perhaps you could clear it up by telling me what they gave you when you retired which is used as proof of military service. Nothing classified or sensitive about that.

Amenda: I like the poem below very much:

"If you were a waterlily I'd like to be a dazzlingly beautiful dragonfly so I could gently land on you.

If you were an eagle I'd like to be another eagle so we could soar through the sky high above the ground with our wingtips almost touching!"

Is there any kind wisedom person who can make something like this?

I've never been very poetic.

And since I'm not, I've always thought to most romantic thing one can do is show the person the way you feel.
