I think it's simple: Thats the age range that he's looking for. The age range that will except him, well, that's something else, thats up to his prospects.

I think we are all hypocrites, to some extent. Its just human nature, we all have needs, and sometimes the best way to meet those needs is to adopt (or pretend to) the social mores of the time/place. In fact, the more someone insists on the absolute value of honest, the more I might question his. Would you buy a car from "Honest Sam", the car salesman?

With all his insight, I think even most psychiatrists today admit that Freud was making it up as he was going along. Thanks to his ilk, for decades autism in a child was blamed on the child's mother.

Psychiatry isn't the only field that suffered from a male-centric point of view. Biologist used to think of mating in terms of competition among males, completely ignoring the role of female choice.

I think going to church is a great thing, spending time with neighbors, contemplating the big question, then drinking coffee an cookies later, the boys looking at the pretty girls, and vs versa. .

I think the problem is all that great stuff got hooked up with a dogmatic, superstious view of the world. And science is rolling bad these superstitions, and people are independent, pushing back against the dogma. So, people leave church. But they still need, and miss, the good things that churches used to provide

No. I think causing people to drown is rather cruel. I think that we all try to do whats best for ourselves and our families. I think villfiing people who are behaving just as we might a similair situation is wrong.

A young monk is sent to town to get grain. Its his first time outside the monastary since he was a little boy, so he's a bit scared.

At the 1st street, a women calls to him "hey mister, how about a quicky, 20 buck, come on, $20 for a quicky". The young monk shylying looks away and walks faster.

At the next cornier same thing, a young women yell "20 bucks for a quicky, come on.." Third corner, same thing.

When he gets back to the monastary he is to embarassed to asked any of his fellow monks whats what, so he goes to the nearby nunary.

He asked mother superioro "I'm a little embarrased, mother, but I've just been in town, and, well, whats a quicky?". She replies
"Well, 20 bucks, same as in town..."
