Hey Chris! We did meet before, when i was putting a scenario out there for all to comment about my mates boyfriend being on a dating sight, but no worries, it must be an age thang....oops that was a bit cheeky.

I'm not sure many people would want to come my way, London, most have probably been here, done it and brought the T shirt, at some extortionate price from a street vendor. And also it's too pricey and too pretentious. mmmm think i have a bit of a downer on my own home turf and besides, selfishly i want to travel to other places in the UK. So all in all don't think i'll be organising one. But i'll keep my eyes open on here and thanks for letting me know if you sniff one out.

It was a choice between Glasgow and Italy and the latter won, I'm afraid, but I'll be thinking of you all on Sat nite when I'm sipping Cianti looking over Lake Garda. (a bit subdued, compared to wot you lot will be getting upto eh?????)

Thanks everybody for all your input, it is interesting to see all the varied responces.

Well I bit the bullet and told her, as I thought I would want to know and then I could decide on what action to take, wether to set up a fake profile or to confront the person.

The outcome was that she knew he still had a profile on a dating site, because he told her he didn't know how to delete it, but it came as a bit of a shock to her when I told her that he had viewed the site yesterday. She said she would look into it and thanked me for telling her. So now it's upto her to decide what to do next. And purely on a selfish basis I am relieved that my part in all this has finished.

THANK YOU ALL AGAIN. Isn't this a great opportunity to be able to put the problems of life out there for a global answer.

I'd print the evidence out (his profile) and anonymously post it to her preferably at work or failing that to her house. Then you can't get the blame when she confronts him and he manages to turn the tables onto you. This is what usually happens as I've experienced in the past when I've tried to be a good friend[/quote

THANKS to you all for your input, it seems tobe getting more and more complicated by the minute, with issus being raised that I hadn't even thought of.

It wasn't on a site like this, it was more of a definate dating site, not one where you can chat on forums like this one. As for letting him know that I know, well I think he may already because you can see who has viewed your profile. And as for staying out of the situation, not sure I can do that, don't think I'd be a good friend if I did and also I think that I would want to know. (hope this all maked sence).

Thanks Sue and Chris for your input. Did think of faking a profile but just think it's too underhanded and wouldn't want to explain that part to my friend. Just keep thinking that I would want to know, wether it be inocent or not. But will take your advice and hold on for a while.
