What's on my mind is that while a certain political party screams equality and no discrimination they sure bad mouth religious people one hell of a lot. I dont recall the last time there was a christian riot :-) Just saying.... After this election where the media wailed to no end when Clinton cryed when asked an actual question (she's a woman, she has feelings!) then turn around and rip Sarah Palin up and down every day for months just makes me sick. I'm a moderate and I want HER to be the president! peace

eve1woman: why is it that so many men and women desire to be in a loving relationship with the opposite sex and yet so many of us are seperated and alone.....

What a good question! I've asked myself this many times as I get rejected or ignored :-) People don't seem to have the "depth" needed in many cases to make a real connection. There is so little trust and respect in many cases that when you try hard to meet people you end up feeling bad about yourself by the negative replys. It took me a while to understand that it's not ME thats the problem if they don't reply or aren't nice. I just keep chugging along and I've met some very nice people :-)

RillyNiceGuy: Why is it that woman will smile when you say,"You look like the first breath of spring." But get mad when you say, "You look like the end of a long hard winter." Its the same ting!

Actually it's not the same :-) "the end of a long hard winter" makes me think of dirty slush, mud and dead rotted plants. The "first breath of spring" is the flowers pushing up their first leaves and the trees budding on a cool spring morning. Doesn't seem the same at all :-)

brokenspirit: Why are men usually in a hurry to get to the sex when most of us women like some nice slow foreplay.

The best way to please me is to please her and if you don't let her warm up and get into it, good luck getting her toes to curl. Yah yah we all have the tear the clothes off and screw like bunnies times but the normal times just messing around is the fun part :-)

It's a real shame there are so damn many loosers in the world who feel it's the god given duty to spread they hate and stupidity around. Peggy is a nice lady (I should know) so to whoever the "clic" is, just keep your crap to yourself please. WE don't care what you think of her or anyone else for that matter.

Peg, your A.O.K in my book :-)cheers

Skybow:

Speaking in Milwaukee, Wis., on Monday, she said, “People in this country are ready for change and hungry for a different kind of politics and … for the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country because it feels like hope is finally making a comeback.”

Greeted with rousing applause after making the comment in Milwaukee, Obama delivered an amended version of the speech later that day in Madison, Wis.

“For the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m really proud of my country … not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change,” she said. “I have been desperate to see our country moving in that direction and just not feeling so alone in my frustration and disappointment.”

Lots of stuff can get twisted around and does, especially in elections. It's just more smoke and mirrors, so you gotta like magic shows to really appreciate this kind of politics.

Sigh I've read her papers and she hates this country and lord knows he's no fan of it. I'm sorry but if a person can't even respect our flag, they should not only NOT be our president but should be deported.

Many many men and women have died to keep that bit of cloth flying and anyone who hates it....well...

P.S. right on Hondo...

smoky: Yeah, I`m full of good ideas, aren`t I? But I notice you were not very forthcoming old chap?!

What gave me this idea was something my kids said over the week-end. Were talking about people getting old and hanging onto all their "ancestral baggage", like not being able to move to another country cause they got all this "valuable" old furniture that they cant sell, dont want to give away, cant afford to import .... so they rather just stay put to guard their old stuff and lead miserable lives wishing they could be "footloose and fancy free"!

... Or living with Old Furniture they inherited that has Sentimental Value, but is ugly and ancient, when they actually would much rather prefer to be Minimalist .... but havent the heart or courage to change the way they used to being........

....I have always admired those Koi-San Bushmen in the Kalahari who move out carrying just a small leather bag over their shoulder, their few hunting arrows and digging sticks ... and humans need great big articulated trucks for their possessions!

I agree that we do tend to hang onto a lot of un-needed junk from the past and need to learn to let go of the things we don't really want or need. As to furnature I hate to part with the old stuff that's usable since the new stuff is all total crap. As to only having a small bag to carry on moving day would be great, it would suck bad all the rest of the thousands of days after that :-) I don't enjoy sleeping on the ground with not a stitch of bedding or even a blanket and wearing the same cloths every single day....no thanks. Some of the things I have remind me of my past as well as people who are gone that I've loved and I wouldn't get rid of them for anything, they are part of who I am. I'm sure for some it's a good thing to dump everything they own and start fresh, I don't think I'd want to honestly. I am glad though that you got out of a deep rut, those suck a lot and getting out can be very very hard.

Codalisa Rice I think. For a woman to get so far in this world and do the job she does, hell I have to admire that. Aside from her I'd say that the woman, who's name I'll never know sweating her butt off in all that body armor guarding her buddies back in a sh*tty situation which is made all the worse by being in a part of the world where women are considered second class people...I admire her the most.

Zeelander: Sometimes it hard to keep up with the amount of emails that people send to you. People tend to read and answer the ones of people they know and have a friendly relationship with. When I returned home on Friday from being in Florida for a week I had 36 emails to respond to... I am still responding. Some people aren't on here all the time either... sometimes only once a week.

Zee

lol well I'm honestly glad you are having so much success! I have the added handicap of working only around machines and not actual people all day so my social skills are a bit "oily" and need polishing :-) Ok bad joke but you get the idea :-) I'm trying though so I have to give myself at least some credit!

woody636: Hi Kiddo! How's things in your neck of the woods?

Hi bud! Agree with a lot of this post, but I've met some really nice people thru flowers/emails too. Seems like most of the posting on the forums is done by very few of the people on this site. Some answer, some don't; enjoy the ones that do. And like said above, try not to take it personally.

Ah crud, sorry the people I'm talking about are almost totally from other sites! The people from this site are almost always nice folks! What you can't read my mind?!? :-)
D'oh!
