But the amount is erased every night..

WHAT would you do??
Spend every cent during the day I guess

Each of us have a bank account like that. Every morning 86.400 seconds are put into your account - the question is how you spend the seconds..

To understand the value of:

1 Year
Ask a student that flunked the examin

1 Month
Ask a mother who gave birth too early to her child

1 Week
Ask a journalist on a weekly magazine

1 Minut
Ask a person who just missed the train (and an important job interview)

1 Second
Ask a person who only just avoided a bad accident

1 Millisecond
Ask the person who got a silvermedal at the Olympic Games

Have a nice day all of you

And remember your account

KITTY

I am amazed with myself for coming around to this point of view, being an anti Vietnam war peacenik (I was 18 years old in November of 1966) and lost many friends in the conflict and in 1966 I almost joined the ROTC... I ended up being involved with opening up my fellow citizens eyes to the wrongness of the oppressive political actions the USA at that time. If I had not seen my friends "pushed to the wall," if the fighting were to be done by a professional army, i.e. a mercenary army, it would have been so much more susceptible to political cover-up and white washing like what we see in this Iraq thing.
I mean nobody has to go today if they don't want, right? There is always some poor person who needs the bucks so steps into the uniform. Instead of it being a member of the citizenry who is randomly selected to honorably represent the viewpoints of the nations democratically elected government.
Yes, it easier to hire somebody else to do the dirty work but this is the one thing that cannot be avoided.
Everybody (men and women, world wide, between the ages of 18 and 24) should be required to preform 18 months of service (not necessarily military) for their country.
Think about it, people!
Put some bite back into the 'ol "Hell no, we won't go!"
