But PLEASE don't make me a democrat!

You would rather be a Republican gorilla with hairy feet, than
a democrat with clean feet. Lady, you have the faith. dropping jaw

new operating system that everybody has to buy? rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

I'm not limiting it to partisan attacks, but human greed in general. The DEMS are co-responsible. Our fiat economy was set up by a DEM President, after all (Roosevelt) and the securitization of debt practices were ratified under Clinton.

The rich get richer, and the poorer end up paying for their amorality in getting that way. Business as usual on the planet Earth.

Business as usual is trying my nerves. Correct in that democrats
are partly to blame. It seems the rich demos and rich repuds are
in agreement about bailout of AIG, which really makes me worried.

This is the danger of having a fiat economy. A fiat economy is sort of like a psychotic break with reality. Everything is consistent to the rules as long as the system is a closed one, but as soon as external, "real" factors and observations are introduced, the whole system falls apart.

I just hope America doesn't need EST to get back on track, although I don't have muh hope that it's not going to be a rude awakening for a lot of people.

I never heard that term before. Fiat economy. Based on the idea
that everybody believes the dollar has the same value. However,
I know for a fact it is just not true. The value of a dollar for a
poor person is much higher then for a rich person. I think the
Republicans have put us in great peril.

If a farmer produces nothing he gets nothing. If a banker produces
nothing, should not the banker get nothing? Who determines the
value of lawyers and doctors, or is it just what they can extract for
whatever value is out their. confused confused

There is no "real" value on real estate anymore. The debt has been amortized, securitized, and conglomerated in such a "voodoo economic" way, that its all phantom value right now, with all the real money sitting in the offshore accounts of the richest 1% in the world, siphoned away on commissions and the naked short sale of debt (where the debt is sold to collectors for a percentage loss, and then reacquired at an even smaller percentage for a net gain). The only true losers are the stock-holders of the banks left holding the tab, and the American Taxpayers. And of course, your average middle-class home-owner. Everythings peachy-keen (as usual) for the top 1%.

I agree with some of what you have said. As a farmer who going
to work the ground, the value is what he can produce and sell,
should be an indication of the value of the land. A resident who
buys the house and land in which his production is really his
job for some company would maybe indicate the value of his
property. So if the job disappears or he gets a cut in pay his
land and property should drop in value also.

better off people still got more than the poor working people.
For me the stimulust package only paid for a month of gas.
