OK...she was upfront from the beginining and said she had sex 3 months ago.....now shes expecting...now what? Was no dishonesty there.
Well then he knows what could happen so it is his responsiblity to
accept whatever happens and what he is getting into. Maybe take
steps to make sure the child biological father pays alimony.

You might want to practice your technique then. I'm not pregnant. It's not even possible. I haven't dated anybody in a very long time.
OK I will give you an answer. I expect ladies to be up front and
honest when it comes to sex. I want to know if she is sleeping
around or not. If she had VD. AIDS test would not be bad also.
So my relationship with her would be alterred by unexpected surprises resulting from sex in her past. thumbs up

Well that is all for me today, got to get to work. Hope I did
not insult too many people. Take everything I say with a grain of
salt. I would date a muslim if she was agnostic like me but then
she wouldn't be muslim if she was an agnostic.

In response to:
Israel is a MAJOR issue generally for people in the Middle East. Essentiually, form their point of view, Israel is just a colonial land grab by European Jews. The Palestinians have been largely displced, and those that remain under Israeli domination are badly terated. So as far as many Muslims and Arabs (and many others) getting Palestine back is of high importance.

And there will, yes, be some silly people among those Muslims and Arabs who are not only obsessed about Israel, but are nutso when it comes to talking about it. But this is not the case for the vast majority of Muslims and Arabs, who hope to see the conflict with Israel settled peacefully and amicably.

Oc course, as non-Muslims and non-Arabs, we are stunned when we run into the nutsos, and it is easy to assume that 'they' are all like that. In the same way, the Iraqis think that all Americans are like the US soldiers that bash down their doors in the middle of the night, or rape them. We know that they are the exception, but the dramatic and savage always crowd out the reasonable and kind when it comes to impressions...

It isn't always easy to see behind the nutsos, but we just have to do it if we want tounderstand what is going on int he world.

Agman, over the months that I have seen you psoting here, you have each and every time seemed interesting and curious and open-minded and fair. I want to acknowledge that publicly, and thank you for it. You are one of the people who make this world and this CS forum a better place.

Oceans
Thanks Oceans. handshake I understand well the many shades
of people and muslims also. I am sure most if not all muslims are
sinners just as I am. I also believe mass hypnosis(mass peer pressure) is also a large part of the muslim religion. Kind of
like the army where everybody marches to the same steps.

In response to:
LOL, Hell NO! Made that mistake in my teens, but will never do it again. Of course, I wouldn’t date a Seventh Day Adventist either.

“You have no idea WTF you are talking about when you say they are a backward culture.”
That IS the impression I have gotten from the ones I have come into contact with, and what you see of their own country definitely gives this impression.

“... I think you will find I was talking about your next president ...
Barack Obama .. remember him ... father used to fish in Somalia ...”
LOL I seriously doubt he will be the next US president. At least I hope not.

“You dont respect Muslims for their faith,”
I don’t respect anyone FOR their FAITH. Only for the person they are.

“If you were ever curious, you could easily contact someone at the local mosque and go talk with them about Islam and their practices. I can almost guarantee you that they would welcome you openly.”
Tried that, and not even close to a “welcome”. Mostly dirty, hostile looks and suddenly tried to act too busy to be bothered, when before I had approached them they were just standing around. Considering that even American men, especially mechanics and such, don’t take females seriously, I just wrote it off as more of that. Didn’t want to get a worse view of muslims overall just because of those jerks.
Thanks handshake

In response to:
yeah, I understand what you are saying. Man, there are times I think I ought to organize a trip to the Middle East for CSers so that we can all learn a bit more about the place and its peoples.

Like all religions, Islam has people who are entirely devout in their practice, some who are not at all, and the full range in between. So if you had contact with Muslims youwould pretty much be able to choose what levels of dedication you would associate. There are many Muslims in the US that are indistinguishable from the rest of the American population.

You may even know one already! Uh oh! Just kidding...

If you were ever curious, you could easily contact someone at the local mosque and go talk with them about Islam and their practices. I can almost guarantee you that they would welcome you openly.

(I'm not talking about Black Muslim mosques, though I have met several times with people who are Black Muslims and after a certain moment of suspicion and anti-white feeling, they are also quite open and willing to talk about their beliefs.)

Oceans

I won't use the wine or beer emoticons....

Oceans
I am sure they would welcome me openly. I think some did try to
get me to go once when I was in college. I also remember in my
calculus class in college we had a muslim who had to insist
to tell me how much he hated the jews and what he thought the world
was doing to his people. Frankly I was not too happy hear him
speak thusforth when I was really only interested in learning
calculus. The Muslin seem to be very hotheaded if you say anything
about them.

No it is because the UK allows them to use their skills to the best effect.

Also if you knew anything about history, you would remember a small thing called the British Empire ... ruled for 200 years, murdered, killed and savaged 50% of the known world at the time!!!
Part of that was India ... you get Muslims there ...

So in answer to your question, the Muslims and the Seikhs and the Chinese created their own prosperity ..

... I think you will find I was talking about your next president ...
Barack Obama .. remember him ... father used to fish in Somalia ...

We dont have a President
Thanks for the reply. handshake Your right many atrocities have
been done in the name of Christianity. And anybody who subscribs
to it is not really a christian. A true christian loves his people
and all the people, does not hide behind laws to justify his actions.
Why do you think Robin Hood is consider righteous and yet a theif.

Hey Oceans wave I'm stirring the pot up again. Cannot say
I have been in muslim country yet, but I see things on the tube.
I respect the Muslims for there faith, but I am also realistic
in that the faith I believe is too demanding for people who have
limited time to do things.

In response to:
The Seventh Day Adventist Church (at large, like any church, there are shades and differences) is a protestant Christian church whose beliefs are similar to Judaism in that we keep Saturday as the sabbath. We believe in the Christ, eat as clean a diet as possible vegetarian where possible but especially trying to educate the public about health. We started Loma Londa, have been associated with the founder of Kelloggs (though he had mental problems and wasn't SDA), The Black Hills Institute and ADRA, which is the protestant version of the Red Cross.
A church of Messianic Jews merged with one of ours when both (small) churches realized how similar we are, not sure about the Messianic Jews end time beliefs but we seem to get along just fine.
The most successful Islamic missionary that I know of (I'm not posting his name on this board for security reasons) has entered the Islamic community in Africa and has compared notes with several leaders (again, for security reasons, I'll be a little vague). It seems that the leader was so impressed by the doctrine and the fact that our missionary was willing to learn and cooperate, that he ordered his people to study Adventism. If his entire following (a large portion of Africa) do what he says, as is customary, then there will be more Islamic Christians than classical Christians in the world population.
This is what worries me about the SDA. That they are a meld between
christianity and judism. Judism is about keeping the law, in
particular the law of Mosses and christianity is about showing
that the law is not perfect. Christ was killed because the people
used the law to do so. Yet he not sin nor deserve his fate. I
would prefer christianity over judism simply because it is a more
fair religion.

I would have to say that I probably would not date a muslim. That is
a real sincere one. They spend so much time praying that they hardly
have time to do anything else. Maybe this is why there culture seems
so backward in time. Imagine me on a long road trip and having to
pull over every few hours to let my companion kneel on the ground,
face east and pray. Not too exciting for me.
