When that national health care service....discontinues your small
town health facilities in Eagle.....because they don't have enough patients....passing thru the door. Enjoy the drive.
Think that I am off?
Check how the VA Hospitals have been operated. There is your national health care in operation. I have told this once before.
Maybe you missed the story in the other thread.
We have a old VA hospital here in Orlando. They have been trying to replace it for 10 years. They did build one.....a 100 miles away...that the local vets feel is to far. So the Federal gov't will mis locate facitilities to where the need is.
Now....the local community, State of Florida, and private organization in that 10 years....actually in the last 6 years.....have put together a
medical coorridor....of a Univeristy teaching hospital, two speciality
hospitals, a medical tech center, and the offices for several 100 DRs.
They are ultra modern facilities, not stamped from a cookie cutter facility of the Federal Gov't engineer service.
Lastly more important than anything mentioned. Why should the private medical industry work in a National Medical Healthcare system?
They will lose thier innovations, thier patents, thier new technologies in a system that has nationalized their efforts. Once they become contractors or employees for the government, that is what happens. We will lose our medical innovation with a National Health Care system.
Think that the JARVIC heart would get done in a National Health Care system? I don't. Those that run the gov't program...would look at the number of possible heart transplants it could cover initually......and say.....well we can do that with tissue heart transplants.....and cut the program. But the JARVIC heart has the potential to cover ALL the heart transplant in the world. But not till it has been proven and mass produced. The gov't does a horrible job in seeing innovation and the future, Agman.
Where do private medical group that are in advanced bio technology, in advanced material medical devices, in new drug and treatment, get funding in your National Health Care system? Pretty dark for them right now with the financial crisis.
Your National Health Care....will soon be handing out asprinin....at the cost of a $1 each. And Agman....you will be making that drive to the big city. jmo
First of all Eagle is a city next to Boise and no I do not have to travel
far for medical service. Amen. As for VA Hospital, all the Vets I have
spoken with have had no complaints about there healthcare. Now
I have notice in the last 5 years that the major hospitals are
expanding in size and setting up other hospitals connected together.
But when I see this I have to ask who is paying for this. Undoubtably
it is the patients and Medicare. Apparently a massive sucking
machine has been built to relieve normal citizens of there wealth
in the event they become ill or if not ill pay increased
Medicare premiums from there employment. Granted competition
leads to advanced quality healthcare but the expense to the
ordinary person is not all that great. Basic healthcare for all citizens
of the US is better than advanced care for those who can pay for
it.
