More useless trivia about Leonarda DaVinci: He didn't give the Mona Lisa to the patron who commissioned it, he kept it himself and took it with him everywhere he lived after that. Or so I heard, haven't checked it.

don't take yourself so seriously. Life is supposed to be fun. And the only thing I want to be able to manipulate is me, and not even that really. thumbs up

I don't really give a d@mn, if people want to get offended, that's their problem. You've been here long enough to have an opinion, just don't worry about it. thumbs up

I don't know about in Michigan princess, but around here there's a big problem with racoons having rabies, very high percentage of them have it, so be very careful messing around with it. They can be really mean even if not rabid. They look all cute and cuddly, but can be really dangerous. Call a professional, or just leave it alone till it gets out on its own. It's a wild animal, they're pretty good at taking care of themselves.

In response to:
Should the off subject gladhanders flying around be asked to move on or should they have their way in each forum???

I don't understand the problem people have with other people's comments. We're all free to ignore what we're not interested in. dunno

* I wonder if we are expecting too much of " forum etiquette "
from people? What do you think ?

If anything there's not enough "netiquette" here, at least according to some people. I happen to like the looseness of the "rules." I don't think we, or at least I, expect anything of people except to be nice.

* Is it up to us to make people feel welcome and make them feel
comfortable or is it up to them to mix and join in the threads ?

I feel we do make people feel welcome, and when they are ready, they mix in. Some people are never comfortable with the forums, that's their decision.

* Do you think people resort to rude posting time and again to get
noticed or make a point ( new or old anyone )?

Yes of course, some people are just weird that way. The best thing to do is just ignore them.

* Keeping in mind this is a dating site , are we many a times way off
track making it boring for people actually looking for a partner ?

People that are looking for a partner can do searches, send emails, etc. The forums to me are mainly for entertainment. And it's usually anything but boring.

* Is this an issue to even think about at all ? If yes, what can be done
about it ??

No, I think it's a non-issue. If it is an issue to some people, that's for them to work out for themselves. We can control everyone's feelings.

We can never make everyone happy, it's just not possible. If people don't like it here, there are plenty of other places that may be more to their liking. I don't mean for that to sound mean or uncaring, anyone who knows me knows that's not in my nature. I'm nice to everyone, unless they are abusive to me or others. But you can't be all things to all people, if you try you become nothing. kiss
