I like where I live, that's why I chose it. The first time I looked at this house I thought, I'm home! The surroundings are beautiful, the neighbors are friendly but not nosey. (Except for the demented old lady who lives next door who didn't like my dog!) The only thing I don't like is that I'm renting, I wish I could buy this place.

The things that are inconvenient about it are what makes it good in a way. It keeps it quiet and peaceful, keeps the people who have to have a McDonalds next door away. Despite my lamentations last weekend that there's nothing to do, I like it. I don't get that way often.

I love my family of origin, but it's because I limit time spent with them that I can say we get along great. If we spent too much time together they could get on my nerves real quick. Especially my dad, he likes to be all in your business, I won't be in a position where he can do that. I will say in time of need, my family has always been there for me. My daughter and her family, I see them every couple days now with the grandbaby. Before that it would be once a week or two, they live just about 10 miles down the road, but I stay out of their business.

My friends are the ones I choose to spend time with, that's what make friends special, you aren't born with them, you get to pick the ones you want. I couldn't have gotten through a lot of rough times without their support. Some things that I could never have talked over with my folks I could share with my family of choice, and be sure I wouldn't be judged or told what to do. That is a rare thing to find anywhere, and next to impossible to find with my family.

She's just over 3 months, and the last time she went to the doc she'd gained 5 lbs already, she was 5'12" when she was born, so she's almost doubled her weight already. She was 3 wks early, so she might have been a little bigger if she's gone full term, but she is growing fast!

She was born with that hair, I'm glad she didn't lose it. Her eyes were dark when she was born but they're turning blue now.

Oh god shut up Beverly, I sound like such a grandmother!
