Like we needed a study to tell us that some men are genetically predisposed to being assholes? dunno

I'm sorry, I've not been keeping up with all this, just the headlines and that's about more than I care to know, but does she not look just like Karen on Will & Grace?

Not saying that's a bad thing. laugh

If he's going to run for the hills, better to find out now. Be yourself and do what you feel like doing. If you can't be you around him, then better off without him.
thumbs up My feelings exactly. The ones that have run for the hills, well it pi$$ed me off cause I couldn't understand why cause I thought we were having a good time, but I am better off without them.

It's better to say too much, than never to say what you need to say. My new motto.

I'm really thinking maybe the reason he said it is cause he does feel a little insecure, and maybe that's not such a bad thing. Does that make any sense, I mean I've had the players that knew all the right moves, and that has never worked out. Maybe the ball really is in my court, or whatever sports metaphor that is. I'm thinking maybe a compromise, send him an email and tell him I had fun and to call me.

Thanks guys and gals, you know I'm gonna do what I want to anyway! grin

Do you want to talk to him? If so, just call him. What's so difficult about making a phone call that it has to undergo such scrutiny in public? Why does it seem to get so complicated for no apparent reason?

This is 2008, women are allowed to use the phone for more than just making hair appointmemnts.
Yeah, that woud have always been my first idea, I have never had a problem calling a guy if he's already been calling me. But I have screwed up or been screwed over so much here lately so I'm trying to at least think about what I do before I do it. I don't know if it's even worth the scrutiny I'm putting into it, but I'd at least like the chance to find out without him running for the hills first.

He is throwing the ball back into your court, now he wants to see how much interest you have in him and with a good many guys, not all, this means sexual opportunity. Not all of us are after a quick piece, on the other hand, use caution. Trust me my Bama Belle, women do not corner the market on MANipulation!
I know that, and I suck at it. Never been able to manipulate anyone, male or female, into doing anything! I'm too freakin' independent, I'd rather just do it myself than put all that effort into figuring out what manipulation would work. That is if just asking doesn't work. confused

It's not a "man" thing.

Is it just your perception of how he said it that makes it seem like a "power play"? Or has he indicated in other ways that he's like that?On second thought, forget about him, don't call, kick his dog and burn down his house. He might be decent, but you can never be too careful.
Wow, you're a lot of help! frustrated

Ok, everything but kick his dog! grin (Really not sure if he has one.confused )

Cr@p, that's what I was afraid you'd all say. What if he seems a little insecure about things, should I maybe email him and let him know I did have a good time and would like to get to know him better? He did say, you have my number and my email. Then I said you've got mine too. So, email at least? dunno

Sorry gals, I'm deferring to the men on this, they are the only ones who know the insane workings of the male mind. confused laugh

and any women who have a clue what goes on in men's heads. Never mind, no woman can or should know that.

What does it mean when you've seen a man a couple or three times, had a real good time, and he tells you to call him, in a way that seems to mean, if you want to see me call me. Is it some kind of power play, like seeing how much you really want to see him, or what?

Second question, should I? I hate this stage of a relationship, I never know what the rules are. frustrated

There is no prince charming, grow up and quit wasting your time on fairy tales. If you're extremely lucky you'll find a frog who'll turn into a decent man, but no princes, sorry. hug

I know I'm just weird for a woman, but sex is important. Yeah, it's the icing on the cake, but who wants cake without icing? And haven't you ever had a tub of icing in the fridge and just ate a little of it out of the container cause you wanted it and didn't feel like baking a cake right at the moment to put it on? Sure, it's not what you want all the time, and it sure as heck ain't a balanced diet, but just sometimes . . . dunno grin
