What is confidence, how does one acquire it and how does one exude it?



First off, what is confidence? Not the dictionary definition, but the meaning of the type of confidence that attracts people to others.

Next, if one doesn't have confidence, how may one work on building it up?

Finally, how can one display that newly acquired confidence?


I keep reading over and over about how confidence is the key to attracting people. But what do people mean by confidence, and how do they detect said quality?

I've heard "fake it till you make it", but how, exactly does one go about doing this procedure? A step-by-step explanation would be great here.
