Jeez, D...almost Stephen Kingish. The razor-heart and the message that strikes me as both warm *and* chilling: "Stranger, you are loved."

What a neat beginning to a mystery novel, I'm thinking....confused dunno wine

I drive a Volvo gl850 station wagon. Here in South Dakota, I'm beginning to suspect, it is practically a collector's car - I may own the only one in the state. People stare and scratch their heads as I drive by them and their pickups.

fireliter: I've have read and heard how being on the internet affords us all this freedom. the ability without real repercussion to be "totally" honest of ones inner most emotions and thoughts. Sounds Great dont it?

But in essence are we not portraying a false image to others?

Some so outspoken on every thread and issue always involved with most every thread, initiating threads, yetin RL they aremost subdued, quiet,withdrawn....I suppose the opposite scenario couild be consider misrepresenting oneself. Are we inadvertentily portraying a less than honest image to others ?

I'm much more at home and courageous with written words than I am with spoken words. I think people who've spoken with me on the phone are probably surprised at how quiet and reserved I am in RL.

I couldn't agree more, Rose. That was VERY OOD, if I do say so myself!wave laugh

I recall meeting one of my kid's teachers years ago. She was 41 and I was 37. She asked if she'd ever had me in one of her classes. Kind of a more pleasant reversal of the above, methinks. wow! here's to you

Indyfella: It sounds like beating a dead horse, but I think the above is only 1 example of why people have distain for Hillary. Any woman who would live with a man knowing that if even ONLY 1 of one of the many allegations to be true, really has no moral compass. Zero-zilch. Only a thirst for power. JMO~

Hillary has a thirst for power? My God, why oh why would you say that?

rwantin: At 42 years old and never married, I suppose I could be viewed as flawed in some way or another (or numerous ways, for that matter). Then again, around here in So Cal, I also have not been divorced for the fifth time.

I'm having a sense of deja vu all over again, SX (love your new photo, btw). But, in any case, Happy Birthday, Des. You're a class act here, my friend, and it's a pleasure having you around. Hope you have many more.

I think that harmful things are far less tempting when you've clearly defined what you want (and how those harmful things subvert that).
