In response to:
They say to believe in God is to just BELIEVE. If that's the case than why do so many people have so many questions as to his existence??
If he created earth than how come they say Dinosaurs roamed the Earth before Christ? Didn't he create Earth?
If all of this happened in Israel & Jerusalem than why is Jesus portrayed as White?
If Adam and Eve were white, where did Blacks & Asians spring from?
Does anyone else ever think about questions like this??
Yes, I have thought of questions like that. I do believe that the creator gave us brains.
Some people believe that the 'stories' in the Old Testament were just that, stories to explain the unexplainable. For some fundamentalists, that statement would rock their faith and they would think that those who say such things are going to hell for sure. I find it somehow comforting.
Think of the story of Noah. At the time of the bible people thought the world was flat so it's possible that their part of the world was flooded. However, there are cave drawings by the native Americans that show a flood.
No one knows 'God's time'. We measure things in seconds, minutes, hours, days, months etc. etc. etc. but we may be living in just one of God's minutes. And I believe that God is still creating all the time.
Dinosaurs roamed the earth long before Jesus came. He was here about 2000 years ago, while the dinos were here thousands and thousands of years ago. Read Job 40:15. Yes, they are in the bible.
Jesus is portrayed as white because he was Jewish and aren't they 'white'? There were no photos of Jesus so various artists have portrayed him the way they see him. I have seen beautiful renditions of a black Jesus, a Latino Jesus and an Asian Jesus. Just google Jesus and hit images. (I apologize if I am not politically correct).
