I grew up in a rural Ivy league college town.

Hence I like the rural life.

But I have to have smart, urbane people around.

It's a contradiction dunno

Ambrose2007: I'm guessing she's in Greece... She's a tough lady...skillfully dodging romantic and literal bombs.

Of course, you and I, Ken, have absolutely no baggage. Isn't that a great feeling!

And no pictures today either????

So Jeff, does that mean I can borrow one of your wigs??? laugh

mbcasey: I have never been approached and dumped quickly. Is this a common occurence with women Joanie?

Depends what you mean by quickly laugh

I think some guys get "found out" by their spouses..the computer holds lots of info in the history part of a browser.

Maybe abruptly is a better word. grin

hollandgirl: Yes that experience was surely hurtfull.
What is in it for these players?
Low self esteem?

One man I did meet from CS he wanted me in his life forever.
His forever was not mine forever, however.
Had broken up with a woman, as both realized it was going nowhere.
As he told me, no drama we talked a long time and it is okay and over.

Two days after our meeting, the ex gf. stopped by his home, and yes how did you figure this out? Yeah you job lol
Both now realized how much they really loved each other.
This brought
such happy tears to my heart, as I sooo love a happy ending, don't you?
Yes I am being sarcastic here

Next!

Yeah, I've noticed that some of these guys are not really available.

They may say they are and offer undying love & lust.

But then the next thing you know, they're gone....back to their wives, ex-wives, girlfriends or better prospects closer to home.

Or they were never serious in the first place.

Happens with women too and guys here get suddenly dumped.

Online dating sites are a great place for cheap thrills when the old ball & chain just isn't doing the job anymore, I guess.

I haven't tried mayo on my fries, but someday I might.

What I have tried is poutine.

Poutine is fries with cheese and gravy on top. There are many variations of poutine.

My canadian friend Tumpa who used to be on the forums was my expert on poutine. hug

Their are restaurants here in central Maine who serve poutine, because we have a large number of people who have moved here (and then back again) from Canada.

The restaurants also have vinegar and ketsup on the tables.

Would you like fries with that?.......Mayonaise that is........Never used mayo with fries?.....: click here to read the entire thread »

hollandgirl: Hey Arabella have you read all of your mail yet?
Still reading?
I got one but he is a young one.
One of these days I say; Who cares?
No too much differents is not good.

You over estimate the amount of mail I get laugh

But you are right about those Italian guys.

My daughter was in Italy during one of her college trips.

She said that the guys would accost her everywhere on the street. She finally bought one of those cheap umbrellas that the street vendors sell, just to have something to use as an intimidator!!!

As for me, I think I'd make a lousy mistress, because I'd want to compare notes with the wife and all the others mistresses for a good laugh. grin

I finally GET IT!

Women on here are supposed to be sexy and flirty.

Those are the ones that the men like.

Posting informative, witty posts will get a girl nowhere.

Wish I could go back three years and start over.

Most of his movies were memorable.

My favorites are Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid, Cat On A Hot Tin Roof and Sometimes A Great Notion.

But in my life, Empire Falls was the movie that affected me the most.

I'm sure this is self indugent, but...

In my local area, the filming of this movie held up traffic, closed bridges, had gazebos built where they were not and put restaurants on the map.

Mr Newman, his wife and the cast of this movie became part of the local scene here.

When Mr Newman passed, news reporters showed up at the Empire Grill in Showhegan again.

Thank you, Mr Newman, for your time in Maine hug
