I think men like to make the moves, but they look for a sign from the woman. Also depends if we're talking about a public or private "approach".

In public, dancing is always a great way to turn a man on - slow dancing or grinding up close. Hips and hands everywhere and fat chance he'll walk away :) Or the more subtle hand on the knee (either partner) and then moving north?

In private, food is always fun, especially the kind that gives out that "come hither" signal - strawberries dipped in chocolate, whip cream on the side and who knows where that might end up?

On this site, I'm not afraid to send a guy a flower to show I liked his picture or profile. I would rather have him contact me first, but guys like to be flattered too.

In real life, I think eye contact is a good indication of whether a women finds a guy attractive. I want the man to display confidence and say hello first. I guess I'm just old fashioned, huh?

I've figured it out! The reason that I get no mail is because I'm invisible! Even when I post, nobody comments. Wow, what a revelation!

Now maybe we should all get webcams - then we could show everyone our "orbs" - I mean eyes!

I don't get much mail either, other than friends on the forum. I just ordered a new digital camera so I'll take new shots soon. I think I'll spice up my photo, show my figure and maybe that will help. I've noticed that guys tend to flirt more with a woman who has a figure revealing picture. Me, I get treated like Betty Crocker!!! LOL

I live out in the boonies where most of the population is over 40, married or computerless. I read another thread where the fellow complained that there were few women in his part of the country on the site. What does a person have to do? Move to a more populated urban area?

You weren't nuts :)

Sometimes that kind of ritual is very satifying. Back when I was younger, my very first boyfriend ditched me by disappearing into the Navy. I took his letters, mementos, etc, put them in a pile outdoors and burned them. Has anyone else done this kind of thing?

Funny that men my age seem to be pursuing younger women. No wonder I had to expand my range to younger men.

Maybe there is such a thing as too much information too quickly.

Baggage - don't talk about your past relationships, intimate details of your life, what your therapist says, your hopes and fears, your grocery list of what you want in a partner. Keep it light, simple, mysterious and the person won't be overwhelmed and may even be curious to know more about you.

I just changed the age range under "his basics" in my profile. Why?

Two things:

1. I was missing out by limiting the upper age range. Interesting men were not emailing me because they thought they were too old to interest me.

2. I'm reading this book "Cougar: A Guide For Older Women Dating Younger Men". The book is funny. Why not date younger men if they are willing?

I've changed my way of thinking! How about that?

I vote for afternoon, you know, kind of lunch hour recreation. Of course, then there's the evening during the movie on the couch action, and then there's the semi-conscious quickie when the alarm clock goes off in the morning. Well, I guess - what the question again??????
