Anyhow.. one of the most basic mistakes that guys make when they get a great girl who thinks the world of them...... they start to take her for granted... they don't help and support, they don't take her out anymore, they never say 'thanks sweetie' or they never give a little compliment... often girls start to feel they are invisible and begin to yearn attention from elsewhere...

But by the same token... girls... you gotta tell them!!!! most men are about as empathic and emotionally mature as a beetle, and they just wont be able to figure out that you are pissed off and what your needs are until you tell them...

shipoker58: her #1 reason.....small.......bank account!!

Hiya Ship... surprisingly cynical laugh....

On a scale of importance money really isn't that important... really.. I am a girl... I know LOTS of girls and there is only one girl I know that really thinks it essential that her guy have money... and she seems to have delusions of grandeur generally andway and guess what she is single as long as I know her!!!... high maintenance!!!...

Yes definitely a guy has to have a job and/or some direction ... you have to be able to respect the guy... but apart from that money figures alot less that guys seem to think.... in fact some guys even think its ok to be an a***hole as long as they have a fat wallet... dreamin!!!!

jpunk: .... and let us have a reality check to your materialistic lives......

CHRISTMAS IS FOR YOUR KIDS!!!

Kids benefit ALOT more from things such as love, family and faith in something greater than themselves than they do a bunch of toys...materialism does not benefit kids really does it?

yaseen999: Hi 1) Would you ever date outside your race?

2) Which race of men/women do you find the most attractive?

I have never dated outside my race, but I really don't think I would have a problem as long as I was attracted to them and we were compatible.. cultural differences may cause me concern alright purely because mens attitudes to women and their respect for women can vary greatly in accordance with which country they come from.. e.g... Italian men are so flirty and very hard to trust.. now while I would not want to paint them all with the same brush, I would be wary to be honest, as in my limited experience with them they are unbelievable!! laugh.. pity.. cause they are veeerrrry cute laugh

Muslims also, I would be a little wary, because my cousin married one, and although she seems ok, she seems to have lost her spirit, also despite the fact that he is not working she has given up her career as a nurse to become an at home mom.. which wouldn't be so bad but for the fact that she really loved it.. I dunno.. I don't mind a traditional role.. would love it in fact, but I would want to do it out of love for my family, not because I am being ordered to by my husband.. but again.. I am sure they are not all like that.. only the strict ones...

Joktan: hrmmmm.....

First, the waiter stuck the match into the lemon wedge, so that it would stand straight. Then he lit the match, and put it in the middle of the plate with the lemon. Then, he placed the glass upside-down over the match. As the flame used up the oxygen in the glass, it created a small vacuum, which sucked in the water through the space between the glass and the plate. Thus, the waiter got the water into the glass without touching or moving the plate.

I'm sorry if I spoiled it ...and I love you Hollandgirl *hers a flower coming your way unless i used it up again

Cool I got it right.. yay....

Ok.. fire burns oxygen, so I am guessing the match has to be lit inside the glass somehow and the glass place on the plate such that as the oxygen burns the water is sucked up into the glass.. perhaps the match is somehow balanced on the lemon on the plate and lit and the glass placed over the lemon and the match.. as the match burns the water should suck up dunno..

New pill they came up with. Blocks the nicotine from going to the brain. Even if you do smoke, you don't get the rush. Maybe just a crutch, don't really know. Just know I don't need the things anymore!

Good for you yay.. cheers

Conrad73: Testing "Objectively" by preconceived Notions.

No preconcieved notions at all.. though I was educated in a Catholic School (most teachings of which I rejected)at home we didn't even go to mass... my Mum and Dad were not religious by any stretch... I was not moulded, my thoughts on the subject were my own..

Most religious dogma is carried from generation to generation without anyone really questioning or testing why or what they believe.. I had no such pressures... If I has chosen to be an athiest my Mum or Dad would not have anything to say on the matter... my Mother in particular is very liberal in this way, she doesn't believe in such things being imposed on children.. and I agree..

spicey1: I am not really sure you understand my point......

Oh and last I checked...LIFE is not "Fair"

As I said earlier its JMO

Sorry hug... as you can see I feel quite strongly about this because it is just so ludicrous... and knowing the propensity of man to corrupt and abuse power, I think it such a dangerous measure!!... In the McCarty days (in the US) when everyone was paranoid about Communism.. sooo many innocent people were persecuted because of disgruntled enemies... give people a 'power' like this and inevidably innocent people get hurt...

and of course you are entitled to your opinion... personally I feel that sentences for these jerks are too short, I think they should get longer sentences and receive treatment.. often these sickos are the product of sick parent/s.. not condoning the resultant behaviour.. but wouldn't we feel alot safer with our kids if these people a) were locked up for very long periods.. b) receive treatment to (hopefully)re-train there way of thinking.. therapy might not erase the proclivity, but what it might do is modify the individuals behaviour to such agree that they are no longer a danger...

I understand how we would all like to burn them at the stake.. and believe me when I read reports of child abuse of any discription my blood literally boils :very mad but we have to be reasonable.. if we advocate vigilantism then we are on a very slippery slope to society degrading into a living hell..

Conrad73: And how do you know what you believe about Jesus is the Truth?

I objectively test everything... I always have done... even when a little girl.. at the age of 7 in my pre-Communion interview with the priest, I challenged him and told him what I thought.... I knew even then that there was something rotten in the state of Denmark.. in the confirmation, I was one of two girls who did not take the oath.. cause again I was not going to consciously lie to God, just cause everyone was going to....

The reason is I could see the wood from the trees at such an early age.. is I think the 'truth' is something which is in all of us.. or at least a knowledge of the truth is within all of us and we instinctively know what it is when we see it... reading the Gospels just blew me away!! it was truth after truth after revelation and I just recognised instantly, that I had finally been properly reunited with what I alway knew all along.. a kind of eureka moment if you get what I am trying to say... Jesus just had such a deep understanding and fundamental knowledge of pure good and love, and he was such a sincerely good and humble person who did not further his own 'human' objectives.. there hasn't been a leader or 'messiah' alive (including Mohammad I am afraid to say) that has not displayed the rotten fruits of selfish humanity... Jesus just didn't in fact he died for us!! how selfless is that!!... and if you say to urself.. welll... if he was the so called son of God then why didn't he save himself then I would reply.. SEE!! exactly!!! that is how amazing and unselfish he is... also the Muslim and Jewish faiths confirm in their own ancient writings his existence.. the fact that they don't accept him as saviour yet still confirm his existence speaks volumes!!! he was a significant feature of our history whether we like it our not..... whether we choose to accept him as our saviour is a choice base on faith and faith alone..

spicey1: Although I agree that not all people who are considered sex offenders should be (the 18 year old kid who had sex with his 17 year old girlfriend for example) Who cares about fair??????????? I do not think the person who was raped or the little girl or boy who was stripped naked is going to give a sh!t about "fair" because someone has to have a different colored license plate cover!

And also there are tons of websites etc with names/addresses/pictures plastered......so now its just one more thing to warn people

JMO

Fair...ALWAYS MATTERS!!!.......even for depicable characters like this.. the reason is, some poor innocent will inevidably get hurt!!.... and if you think its ok for an innocent to get hurt in order to achieve the greater objective then you have the similar mind set of a murderous dictator.. and what happens if that convicted offender IS that 18 year old boy.... OR what happens if the 'offender's ' son/nephew/friend borrows the car.... it is absolutely ludicrous.. its a no brainer!!

Forget religion!!!! this is why you are totally missing the point... man only knows how to corrupt... and man has very sucessfully corrupted the idea of God through Religion..... they were even doing so in Jesus' time.. and he had plenty to say about that
