I have met someone also. He lives in the U.S. and is going to sail his boat up here to meet me . He will start his voyage from Maine all the way the the very eastern part of Canada. I will pray that he has a safe voyage. dancing

If I had the sexual 'DESIRE' to maime (sic?) someone for sexual purposes, I would not be sane enough to get help. That would be scary. Curiusity you can control but a desire is like walking on a fence. J.M.O.dunno

It depends on how they are thinking what thoughts...

If they are thoughts that might be acted on or that cause longings and so tempt people to step over that line from fantasy to reality, then those people might be better off being councelled or going on meds.

This question has so many connotations...because how would someone assess when a line is about to be crossed.

Some thoughts are just harmless curiousity, some are with intent to get pleasure from even thinking about harming somone.

How do you measure intent???
I agree with you but curiousity and real desires are a whole different ballgame.wave

So, Arlene, would you say that some desires are evil? (Wondering about your last sentence.)
I am say that 'IF' someone acted on there deviant behaviour, I feel it is wrong. For instance, if I was with someone who got a kick out of choking their partner or anyone to the point of passing out or killing---I am agaist it. YES some desires are EVIL. I will break the sexual desires for a second and say I would love to shoot someone but I wouldn't. I hope not anyway. Just an analogy.here's to you hug

But the question was: How do we feel about people who have those desires, not about the acts themselves. In other words, do we morally condemn or feel contempt for those with different desires - even desires that if acted upon would be reasonably considered immoral? That is, should one be condemned purely for what one desires?
I would never condemn anyone for their desires even if they are kind of sick desires, If those desires were acted upon I would vomit. I think it is a matter of what one is desiring.dunno wave

I beleive whatever goes on in the bedroom between two adults (even experimenting ) is fine no matter how kinky. If it works-it works. There are some creepy people out there and when it comes to someones' desires and it is illegal--ACTING on should be out of the question. I am not sure about the deviant desires because I never had any, however , like I said Acting on them is a No No. I did however have a sexual fantasy (LEGAL) and I acted on it and I am sorry I did because now it is not a fantasy. I will find another fantasy I hope.laugh hug

I peeped in there.. most of the things are wrapped..

I'm going to open it later because I made my eyes leak as soon as I peeped..

Her cowboy hat is in there.. and I can see photographs of us I framed and gave her as gifts of our adventures... There is an unopened bottle of her perfume.. because she knew I loved how she smelt.
I cant see the other things without opening them.. the box is huuuge.

There is a Cd with 'Play me' ... and a letter.

So now.. I'm going to bung it on the shelf.. sneak off to the bathroom to cry for a bit.

Then open it all when I get home.
What a gift!applause I have tears in my eyes as I just read this much.crying hug

Hiya

Ive only been registered one day, and Im already fed up with guys contacting me who are in their 20's etc - when my profile asks for 37-47 ish! Without generalising too much, its quite obvious what these guys want, and its certainly not a meaningful relationship!

Any other gals having the same problems?
I used to get soooo annoyed at these people but I just say a polite no thank you and tell them they are younger than my son, wish them the best and then block them. Stay away from the people men who have not been in the forums and want your yahoo address!!!!!professor God luck and yu will learn hw to handle them as I can see you can spot a scammer--and that is first rule to watch for.wave handshake
