Perhaps not totally but sadly enough I believe we have all experienced a similar situation. Where one person may have lost a child, another may have lost a different family member. And that gives us adequate insight to show compassion and to be caring and understanding.

I think we all feel the same way from time to time. I am perhaps the opposite of Paws. Appear strong on the outside but soft on the inside. Feel sad for myself in private but would never have the courage to express such pain in public.

What exciting news!!! Congrats to all of you. It's so awesome to be young and in love ... I haven't been either in so long but I do remember what it feels like.

I think you have just cause to be upset. Not only will the preparer probably lose her job, but it will now "red flag" you for an audit. Didn't she have to get your signature before filing?

Well I can only speak for myself but I did not run. I married a man with 2 children (ages 7 and 12). I had one of my own and I was 10 yrs older than you when I did it. I very much enjoyed having a big family. Younger women may feel differently especially since they haven't experienced motherhood themselves yet.

I find "So where would you like to take me for lunch" usually gets a chuckle. Or ignored ...

I think you are on the right track. My son never liked milk as a kid. He was about the same age. So the next night for dinner I gave him a glass of milk and told it was something new. It was called moo juice and it was kids who didn't like milk but had all the same vitamins. He finished every drop.

I lost my dad in a car accident when I was 9 yrs. old. The only thing I have of his is his wedding ring. I find it gives me a warm feeling when I wear it and a feeling of strength.

OK so what's a fair rent. He graduates with a degree in electrical engineering and will make 4 times what I do. When I told him $400/month, figuring that was cheaper than his own apartment yet steep enough for him not to be too comfortable living here, he about had a melt down. Any suggestions?

If your child graduated from college and moved back home with no specific plans of moving on, would you charge them rent?
