Since a very long time ago, people have searched for the meaning of love. But even the great philosophers, with their profound definitions, could not fully touch its true essence. For me it was 25 yrs ago when my daughter was three!

My ex-wife, in all her wisdom at the time, decided it would be a good idea to teach the kids about the human anatomy at as early a age as possile for them to learn so they would'nt be embaressed by peers at a later date. My ex was new in the medical field at the time, so she saw no harm.

Whenever she would give our daughter a bath, she would join her and answer any questions she might have.

On Christmas Eve, of my daughters 2nd birthday, I took her with me to a nearby Mall to get my wife's
Christmas presents. While we were there, we just happened to run into our neighbors teenage daughter who had just started a new job there and happened to be my daughters baby-sitter as well. I stopped to say hello and how did she like her new job! We chatted for a couple of minutes and as we were leaving, my daughter blurted out, " I bet she has a vagina, does'nt she ,daddy?"

God must have been observing all this and know what was about to occur in advance and so He blessed me with the quickest come-back I ever had.

I told her, " No.sweetheart, I believe she drives a Ford Escort."

I am sure she was heard, but I made a very hasty exit and was thankful that it was'nt worse.

I must admit though - I have come close to thinking this way more than once - in fact........... maybe life would be a whole lot easier if we all didnt expect quite so much from each other in the way of fidelity.......

dont get me wrong please - I am a one man woman and the age that I am now sure has me wishing for that 'one man' but Im just wondering if we maybe ask too much in expecting lifetime commitments from a partner since life expectations went up so dramatically in the last 50 yrs?

I've noticed, and not just of late, that most guys profiles specify age ranges way younger than themselves. I saw one just now, he was 38, said age range 18-28. Another 38 wanted women 25-30.

Now, I dont wanna seem ageist or anything, but I just wonder what would a 25 year old have in common with a 38 year old?? I know tastes in music etc are not necessarily age-related but come on guys!!! Surely you are more likely to find common ground with a woman nearer your own age ?

I suspect that a 38 year old may have sown his wild oats and want to settle down and have kids, in which case he has better chance with younger women.... but a fifty-something, who wants a thirty-something ?? That's TWENTY years, for **** sake !

If women were to specify guys fifteen to twenty years younger than them, we would be villified, laughed at, scorned etc etc.... So what do all you guys and gals out there think ??
