I don't like the look of it, but that's personal taste--esthetics are important to me--not that my choices are completely based on esthetics, but I wouldn't have something I didn't like the look of, even if it were the right type of bed for other reasons.

Oh I understand, it’s not my favorite look either. This one was built using scraps and leftovers as just a proof of concept. The beauty is we can build it from many materials and it doesn’t have to be the box design. But I must say I get more compliments on this bead than most anything in my home. Accept maybe my hard rock maple butchers block table. But as you say, it’s very much a matter of taste.sticking out tongue

Looks good, but would have to see it personally to know for sure,
depends on how sturdy, looks like it might flip over if 2 people sit on one side?

nothing really new looking about it, kinda looks like a waterbed.

Hmmmmmmmmmm, nothing new? I have never seen a water bed nor any other bed look like its floating but ok.

Looks really cool - but under the bed is a place to stash stuff when the closets are full and you would have to actually catch and dispose of the dust bunnies.

Perfect for those places that come with hotel style service and make a statement about your lifestyle. My first thought was upscale bachelor pad - not meaning to stereotype but Hollywood will love it!

the bed is actually high enough that a vacuum cleaner goes under very easily. I have the bed shown in my own home and its great.sticking out tongue

the bed looks great - whats propping it up?

I somehow get the feeling that too much activity will cause it to tear a huge hole in the wall!!!

Actually, I had 11 friends come over and we all got on the bed and jumped up and down. The bed did fine!dancing banana

What the heck is holding it up?

Actually, there’s an integral pedestal under the bed. This is a tricky design and the first 3 I built lacked proper stability during side load. It took some refinement and Walla. A floating bed!

Good, bad or horrible, let me have it. I designed this "floating bed" just for fun. Now considering adding it to my product line!
