caspatch: why do women hate to admit when they start going through menopause, it is natural and part of life, my sister said she started through her's in her early 40's she knew she was unbearable to live with, hated it, but didn't know why she felt the way she did, but that was 40 years ago and they didn't talk about such things, today is much different and things are more openly discussed yet some women don't want to admit or even consider that may be their change causing their emotions to go crazy, with men it is mid life crisis and we can't explain some of the crap we pull just out for discusion
,
I think possibly it's the knowledge that they are getting older and unable to hold back time. Also the fact that child bearing days are possibly over, and some may feel that they are no longer desirable.
In all cases it is a very personal problem and for some it can be very embarrassing. Some women have been known to go mad literally during the change ,so it is for some a fragile time in their lives.
We are all different in our approach to how we handle the changes that take place as we get older,so a lot of understanding is required for both men and women. You are right in my opinion that it shouldn't be hidden away and people need to talk to each other about how they are feeling. It would lead to a better understanding on both sides.J.M.O.
