What catches my eye...and heart:

His smile is as warm and bright as an unseasonably sunny, winter day and could dispell the darkest mood.
His eyes dance with mischief and delight.
He embraces life with a childlike enthusiasm and wonder.
His easy laughter is contagious.
He can talk for hours about nearly anything.
He always holds my hand, with frequent caresses that say, "I love being with you."
He makes me feel at ease with him.

AND makes me want to stay:

His gentle voice relieves the stress of a bad day.
He is generous with his affection.
He never gets impatient with my pettiest concern.
He always asks about my day and shares his day with me.
He makes me feel that nothing else exists when he wraps me in his arms.
When he's gone I pass the hours remembering his sweet kiss.
He's my first thought when I wake and his voice is the first I hear when he calls to say good morning.
I lie in bed and think of him until he calls to say goodnight.
Because he expresses his heart so willingly, I feel safe with him.
He laughs at me, but in a good way, when I might otherwise be embarassed.
No matter how close we are, I always want to feel him closer.
He gives me courage to try new things.
He is creatve and has an eye for skill and beauty.
He appreciates the gifts of others.
He honors his family and treats them with kindness and respect.
He's a good story teller.
He has a spirit of adventure and loves to explore.
He can make me laugh at things that just moments before had me tied in knots.
He expresses concern for me.
He sees magic in the special moments.
The tenderness in his hands and in his voice soothes my soul and makes me long for more. I can't get enough of his touch.
He inspires me to be the best that I can be.

What drives me away?

My foolish insecurities that cause my trust to waiver.
My own stupidity in unwittingly creating that which I fear most.
Ill-chosen words aimed at his heart, even though with good intent.
His reluctance to forgive.
His unwillingness to confront obstacles or conflict.
His pig-headedness.
His foolish pride.
The pain that grows in silence.

hey there lass

i recently reunited with my daughter who was adopted at birth. she's a carbon copy of me, raised in a conservative home, she's a liberal. her basic habits and attitudes are exactly like mine. ie: she doesn't care about clothes, bites her nails, loves animals, bad housekeeper/ passionate cook, identical handwriting. i could go on and on

so yes i believe you carry on many as yet unidentified genetic characterisitics why not homicidal tendencies.
suicide runs in families why not homicide.

count on it. if the politicians all agree on it, it's a bad idea that will come back to bite the middle class in the ass. cash the check or not, bring out the lube it's politics in(terfering) in action.

actually i've had some similar experiences this past year and indeed we do have more to be grateful for because we now know how very fleeting and precious loved ones are in our lives.

i'm so glad to hear it's inspired you to get back to your art. therapy and beauty in action.

stay in gratitude it's a fine place to be.

i like to travel but usually do it on the cheap..

as a special treat after the cheap travel is done. i tell everyone i'll be home the day after i actually land, i don't tell a soul and book myself into my very favorite pricey hotel, get a jacuzzi room just for me and have room service.

when i return home i'm actually rested and relaxed.

now that's bliss

well if i can get surreal about it

i want my body to look and feel great, and i'd like to be a bit taller as well.

then hop that flight for austrailia, see the cockatoos flying free, and dive the big reef. maybe hit costa rica on the way back.

oooh ooh and a great looking guy who thinks he's just average, of course he cooks, cleans and never interferes.

after the trip, it's off to new mexico or someplace out west to move into my self sufficient, environmentally friendly house. spacious and beautifully decorated there's room for any kind of critter i set my heart on.

Oh and we'll need an R.V. so i can see the rocky mountains all the way up to the yukon, then back down the mississippi. the great looking guy will be a willing driver.

don't really care much about clothes so we'll do the whole thing naked.

while your at it fix global warming, world hunger, war, greed, avarice, all diseases cured, all pet animals safely in good homes, all wild animals safely in secure habitats.

that would make me happy

thanks for makin me think about it robbie

i can relate to super trooper in one way, i too say i'm 5 1/2.

It's so difficult to comfort a loved one while you yourself are in pain, i have health problems and i know my mom suffers far more than i want her to. i wish those tears were easily dried. It's really important that you take good care of you right now, i know that sounds impossible, but your kids need your strength.

i will print out a copy of this for my neighbor (my prayer warrior), she's 96 and refers to jesus as her best friend, i really believe in her healing power. I will pray for all of you in my own way, i have to donate blood next week and will do the donation in her honor.

i'm out of words and so sorry for your family's suffering.

people live where they live by choice or necessity.
i live in the suburbs out of medical necesity. my choice would be to live on a mountain in the the southwest or an island in the warm south seas. isolation would be delightful, no judgements, no greedy weasels, no obligations, no cops, no goverments.

In response to:
I mean the relationship.. or lack of with them.. (not do you get IT on)...

How do you feel about them nowadays?
my ex honors me now though he did not when we were married. i knew when i met him he was a selfish person but i was ok with that. we divorced because he wanted to bring in a second wife so that he could have a family that included kids. my baby makin days ended quite early and i didn't need a wife. i was given the option to stay and see if it would work out, but chose to go it on my own. anway he's now married and the father of a beautiful little girl, his young wife is a fine woman and i'm happy for him. as for me i prefer our current freindly distance.

unwedded bliss

pain killers have very different effects based on your level of pain. i'm a chronic pain sufferer and can tell you they don't make me high in anyway they simply work to minimize pain. my doctor has never given me an adequate supply to manage my pain for two reasons: you develop a tolerance, which leads to side effects including dependance. the other reason is the DEA is up every doctors butt questioning large numbers of pain med precriptions.

addiction is a disease, it really doesn't matter what the substance of it is from prescription meds to self injury. the stars that you hear about are probably self medicating, poorly and addiction to something was probably inevitable
