it sems to me from all i've read that you are a serial monogamist. you like the idea of settling down but you're simply not ready. eventually when the time is right you will meet a girl you must stay with, and the problem will solve itself.

staying in a long term relationship is challenging unless it's the right person then it just gets easier. comfort

if yu nee a break from all the heartbreak take it, you've got loads of time.

very nice to hear that you've found some joy on this dreary day. don't let the lack of response bother you honey, just enjoy the moment. your poem was lovely, your sentiment sweet and tender.

attend to lola not the masses

Right, ok when i said that if you didn't like someone's looks, don't vote against them! Me, other folks, you are being bitchy wankers whoever is downgrading photos! Fuckin' if you aint got nothing positive to say, don't say it at all! ALRIGHT! 'NUFF SAID!

If i don't like the look of a woman, i keep my gob shut! get the point ladies!

now be ladylike, instead of bitchy, ok? xx

i agree nitro,
even toddlers should be taught that golden rule.

i never vote, so i never make a statement. all you can tell from a photograph is the skill of the photographer. the quality is the person the what really needs to be evaluated, and that's too personal a journey for polling.

have a beautiful day

been there done that. and in all honesty, despite the pain, i'd do it again rather than miss a minute with my beloved.

i guess the perspective i gained was that we are all terminally alive, and if we find love that lasts, one will be left behind. honestly it takes tremendous courage to keep an open heart. i think we should all congratulate ourselves here at CS for doing just that.

of course my philosophy is not for everyone

this has been a most interesting thread to follow. actually very educational.

LBGUY you are entitled to your preferences, those who counter are equally entitled to their's.

my only real comment here is one i made up years ago, "nothing is ever always anything". There ARE strong self reliant woman seeking the same in a man, finding em is your challenge. Finding a man secure enough to deal with their level of conviction is their's.

good luck in your quest

i do believe in true love. after 17 year of marriage i still hadn't experienced it. i was 48 y/o when i met a truly kind, good, honest man and get this he was crazy about ME. i loved, honored and respected him. crotchedty old things that we were we even talked about getting married. unfortunately he passed away suddenly last june. here's where the true love part comes into play. i now know it's real, i'm worthy of it, jim would want me to have it again. i go forward with confidence i will revel in the comfort and joy of true love again.

you're a beautiful young woman, be patient, be fearless, be yourself, it'll happen. don't give up, you're worth it

oh yeah and that physical attaction thing is nice, but it doesn't compare to respectful, mutual, life enhancement.

his pain will pass. but i think you grown ups will be traumatized for a long time, so my prayers for your family also.

beats me why people lie , usually it has something to do with an inconvenient truth ( not the book).
yes i believe peple lie to defend themselves all the time. sometimes they lie not to get in trouble, but probably as often it's a defense mechanism so other's won't know how to hurt them.

well i guess anything that puts you in a target rich environment can only help. i know 3 couples who met online and have been together more than 5 years, so for them it has worked. i think you will find your online love life similar to real life, if you're really lucky you'll find her.

and yes it's dam tuff out there. whether on a paid site or a free one.

why not cruise the halls? take a class you're interested in, join a club or game league. my brother took an oriental cooking course at adult eduation (nights at the high school), another target rich environment, where his lack of skill made him a darling of the class. He didn't find his true love there but he had a quite a few dates. and now makes great fried rice.

happy hunting
