laughsoutloud: Well I think good on her!
I wouldn't have let my daughter do it but so what? We aren't a sailing family and I know next to nothing about the topic. I've heard many experienced sailors have said the freighter incident could have happened to anyone so should it even be taken into account? It was ONE incident.
I'm sure if anyone cared to check out stats it's a LOT safer than getting into a car and most of us do that numerous times a day. Every parent constantly makes choices regarding their kids, some good, some not so good. Welcome to parenthood...
I used to take my kids on the back of my motorbike from the time they could comfortably reach the foot pegs and hold on properly.
I know a LOT of people talked about it behind my back saying I was irresponsible. Maybe they were right, maybe they weren't. I always rode CAREFULLY but yes, there were risks. We used to have wonderful times together tho!
GO JESSICA
yep.. the stats for young kids being killed on the road are terrible
