ladichatterlee: I resent your implication that I'm ignorant. I know full well how they're slaughtered. I've stated before that I don't eat as much meat as I used to, and that I may stop altogether.
Still, domestic animals ARE raised for food.
That has nothing whatsoever to do with the fact that I PERSONALLY, could never kill an animal, domestic or otherwise, and that I don't see how anyone else could aim a gun at such a beautiful, majestic creature and watch as a bullet rips through its body, blood spurting out all over the place, and watch it lay there, gasping for its last breath, and, at the same time, be "proud" of what they just did. It is just unfathomable to me.
And then again you may not.
