Still, domestic animals ARE raised for food.

That has nothing whatsoever to do with the fact that I PERSONALLY, could never kill an animal, domestic or otherwise, and that I don't see how anyone else could aim a gun at such a beautiful, majestic creature and watch as a bullet rips through its body, blood spurting out all over the place, and watch it lay there, gasping for its last breath, and, at the same time, be "proud" of what they just did. It is just unfathomable to me.

ladichatterlee: I don't know why that is so strange. I don't have anything against eating meat, per se. I am against hunting, primarily for "sport." And I stated that there aren't many people who have to hunt in order to survive, so most people do it for "sport."

In Britain, a gentleman's cub is concidered as exactly that. Usually ex services, commerce, law types etc. Wearing blazers and handlebar moustaches, chatting in a garbled Pythonesque manner sipping cognac and nibbling on brandy snaps. A very uperclass, gentry , elitist kind of scene.....
