I just graduated in May of 06 and find it as you describe. Another frustration is that I spent four years learning from textbooks and instructors that could teach whereas now my company teaches without written documentation mostly by people who can't teach and have little patience in trying.

Occasionally perfect sounding women approach me at this site. Sometimes they have a really nice photographs, but most of the times their profile has no image. The emails that I receive are complimentary and very eager to offer their email addresses while asking for mine. I'm skeptical about these all to eager women because their emails are non-specific about who they are writing to, and the email system through CS works very well already. It seems as if they type a message that can be sent to many men and they sit back and collect the email addresses that start pouring in for some other type of use. Is this some sort of scam to get email addresses from unsuspecting singles? Has anybody followed through with this perfect person approach and received junk mail soon afterwards?

Those of us that have posted a photograph must have selected one that they feel portrays them in a positive light. We have only one opportunity to make a first impression, so I took the risk that a woman may appreciate a unique man. Very few people read how beautiful or smart a person writes before they look at their picture.

It's unfortunate that society places such a great emphasis on appearances, but because we have only one opportunity to make a first impression, I needed to take the risk. I needed to make a statement that I have not traded my physique for maturity. I wonder how many of us actually read how beautiful a person writes before we look at their picture.

I believe that they think you would be disappointed by their first impression from their photograph so they try to work around the appearance issue by diverting your curiosity to what or how they write.

Perhaps if you removed your image for a day and tried sending the same line to a guy the reply may help settle your own curiosity.

I've discovered that a shirtless picture gets over ten times the views as one with a shirt on.

The "who has viewed me" link is no longer active. This was a very useful link to meet people with. If you wish to have the link re-established then click on the "give feedback" link at the top of the page and let them know about it.
