Hey rivame

I know what you mean.. sometimes the things we suffer in life can be quite overwhelming.. what makes it worse is when there is nobody to turn to... you find out fast just who your real friends are when you are down and out.. Such was the case with me about 7 months ago.. The most horrible time in my life.. never want to go through anything like that again..

If there was such a thing as hell on earth.. it was definitely that way for me.. all of the people that I believed were my friends just ran out on me.. and everything I was going through I had to deal with alone.. I tell you I really didn't think I was going to make it.. but I did.. by the grace of God..

My belief as far as friends go is this...

A true friend comes in when the whole world has gone out..

Unfortunately for me the so called friends I thought were true, weren't true after all..
Here here! I know exactly what you mean, happoned to me about five years ago, and I am still protecting myself from the world. I am to the point now where I rarely leave my house unless I absolutely have to. Looking at me, you would never expect it, I am nice, fairly pretty, always happy, have my kids with me everywhere I go, but the people who see me when I am out shopping or at the park dont know that I hate leaving my house. I guess thats my fear now, opening up and making friends because one day they will be gone, and I dont want to go through losing them again. I have a few real friends, but they all live over 1000 miles away... But hey maybe once I finish college- which I take online so I dont have to get out- maybe then I will get brave enough to try and have friends again. As for now, its me and my family because I know they will never forget about me!!

You would think after five years I would have gotten over this, but I am just now realising that I am doing it!! Thanks for your posting because it made me notice a few things... conversing

wave You can set your pics so that they are only rated by men or women if you want to. I think you just go into your pics, maybe edit pics, and at the bottom it askes who you want them to be rated by. I am not positive about where it is, but I know it is on there because I had mine set that way when I opened this a few days ago. Then I put up the pic of me and my daughter, and talked with a few people on here and decided that it shouldnt be a problem for me to change my settings. You can though if you dont want the guys feeling inferior and rating you low just because they are jealous!! wave here's to you

I loved college.

For six years and got my Master of Education degree.

To each his own
Hey dont get me wrong, I love learning! And if I could actually go on campus and meet people in face to face classes, then I would probably not be so tired of it by now. However I am taking online classes, and have never actually taken an on campus class... Until my daughter starts school, she is only three, I am going to stay at home with her. I just figured I would get some school out of the way since I am taking time off from working anyway.

I wish I could go on campus, but my daughter wont let me, she doesnt ever stay with anyone, ever. She is like my shadow, and I cant even take a shower without her in the bathroom snatching the shower curtain open and making sure I am still there!! LOL!! sticking out tongue <----- what she looks like when she does it!

Wouldn't do much good.
What you do with the INFO is also a part of being educated.
My Computer has Tons of INFO on it,but to call the Machine "Educated" would be really stretching it.
Ok, so if you could somehow learn all the info off the chip in just a few seconds like say on the matrix or something like that so you actually do get all the benefits of school, just minus all the time spent on it!!

I have two kids and I find myself up until 2 AM every morning trying to study after they go to bed, and then back up by 7 every morning to get my oldest off to school!! Its just quite hectic and I wish I could skip past this part!!

Yes, well, she was being deported actually. Sudan government would not let her stay, and she expresed her dissappointment in that. She wanted to stay, I suppose, to continue teaching, which is noble, if not foolhardy.
Oh my gosh, why on earth would she want to stay there?? Go and teach in another country where you can do as much good without risking your life by God forbid riding in a car with someone of the opposite sex that you arent related to. Jeeze, I would have had about a BILLION lashes by now or more!!laugh head banger dancing banana

I wish you could just download all of the info you need for the entire term onto a microchip and have it inserted into your brain so you could access all of the info without actually spending years on studying and exams!!!sigh wave dancing

That's why they have graduate school - that's where you go to school and gradually learn you don't want to go to school anymore!
Now there is a GOOD explination!! Thanks for that!!laugh

New Zealand would def be a nice place to live! Or maybe Canada or Alaska. Pretty much anywhere that is beautiful, open, and not too close to a big city! However not too far away from civilization either!! I have lived in Houston Tx as well as small town with 300 population... I prefer the small town minus the fact that everyone knows everything you do before you have done it!! Big city was nice for a while, just not my ideal place to try and raise my kids, too much drama and crap!! Just want somewhere nice and quiet, a few close friends, and def the family!!

yay
