Ofh I didn't explain that very well..

I meant... If the children spent most of their growing formative years in a VERY inconsistent upbringing.. (with two parents)

then these are sometimes the after effects.

If parents parented firmly and consistantly from the time the child was small they wouldn't have had those problems. The children would have had respect for the parents more, to not have treated parents that way.

I am with you hear no one has the right to call me with a pet name when we have just met. To me it sounds cheap.

When coming to Canada a saleslady called me honey. I was indignant lol and told my husband I am not her honey.

THB I don't mind at all if woman call me honey/sweety/darling etc..

I think its quite sweet really.. like if its some friendly smiley lady on the check out or whatever..

actually saying that.. I don't mind if its a man either in situ's like that.

But I don't like it in a new potential relationship.. (for all the reasons Azu gave)

I hate it when someone(who just met me) calls me pet names like baby, sweetie, sexy. After the first hello how are you...

It feels so insincere and I am immediately turned off. I become suspicious wondering if they have an agenda. Not saying I have low self esteem and can't take a compliment...but I feel sometimes it is to soon to call me baby. Ya don't even know my first name!

...end rant
