LILLYLADY: I would if someone stayed with me. However, I did go on a ghost hunt at a haunted house. Interestingly, I picked up sounds on my tape recorder and also some strange energy waves in a picture. It was quite an eerie evening to say the least. Even a set of cupboard doors slammed shut unexpectedly. Everyone in our group jumped and were stunned!!

I love drinking-liquor over beer because I like mixed drinks-but i like my tequila mostly straight.I like to indulge with alcohol because it tastes good to me-it relaxes me after a hard day-and I can be pretty funny when I'm drunk.....

Why I don't drink much anymore-I come from alcoholics and am afraid to let myself be one....

Cigarettes-that's is altogether different. I was pressured when a few of my best friends smoked-I was 14 of course it was peer pressure-my mother had died and I was rebelling...now though I like to smoke-I like the taste and the smell.....

Why do I say I like these things-because the nicotine in cigarettes actually changes your neurotransmitters to believe it. Nicotine releases serotonin and endorphins that make you associate smoking with pleasure-as you will hear from smokers "I'm so stressed I just need a smoke" well yes but actually nicotine makes you more stressed when it starts to deplete. Smoking is awful I wished I never started-I have chronic asthma and chronic bronchitis and my doctor told me if I don't quit I could get COPD or have to be on oxygen and I'm too young...so I quit-sort of....

Anyone who says I'm not addicted I only smoke every once in awhile is a liar-The first drag you take affects your brain and the addiction begins....

Gr8fulRN: I am a returning member. I took a break for several months. I didn't have any success on my first attempt at meeting anyone here. I sent out a few emails and got no responses. This time around same thing so far. I have received one email so far this time and...well I won't even go there. I don't think I am unattractive, I am well educated and continuing that process. I have a steady job and a drama free life. Not sure what I am doing wrong...any suggestions...please, be constructive and nice. Thanks!

druidess6308: Right now I'm in the process of being stood up for a date. I am finding that my reaction to this is to laugh, and to be thankful that I'm seeing this man's true colors so early, before my heart got involved.

His text message yesterday indicated we were still on for today. Then no further contact to confirm time and location. It was supposed to be for lunch today, and it's now noon here. Obviously, he's rude and disrespectful, which means he's not worth any more of my thought or emotional energy.

So, how do you react when someone stands you up for a date? Do you let it get you down? Mope and cry about it? Or when you set up a first date, do you have other plans made just in case s/he doesn't show? Do you laugh it off or cry it out? Have you ever stood anyone up for a date? If so, why? (And no, I haven't.)
