Conrad73: GOD grant me
the SERENITY to accept
the things I cannot change,
COURAGE to change
the things I can
and WISDOM
to know the difference

Leave the "GOD-Bit out of it,change it to the Entity you trust in,it's all the same.
But it helps you to focus on the essentials.

BINGO!!! yay

RillyNiceGuy: The old timers used to say, "Date who you will, but mind who you marry!"

This can be taken a couple of ways, but the advice was for a man to date any woman but find a real lady to marry!

Any hooker can provide sex. But it takes a loving, caring, gentle woman to make a home.

In this age of women trying to be a strong woman, they have turned strong women into foolish bitches. It was the few women that played all the time that made women look weak...but women have always been strong. You take the women who went west with their men and made homes out of the wilderness, the women of the cival war that worked in blood and guts to take care of the wounded and the children, the women of WWII that built the ships of war and filled the jobs as men and other women fought. Women have always been strong, but they today have given away their grace for foolish pridefull egotistcal bitching. They have taken the beauty and gracefull strenght of women and destroyed it leaving only tits and ass to offer a man who desires a sweet lady to give his life to. It is hard to find old fashioned ladies with this grace of true womenhood.

I now come down from my soapbox!

AMEN to that Rilly!!!! I can't tell you how many times I've heard women say (including a few friends of mine), 'Yeah, I'm a bitch and proud of it!' or 'I can be a real bitch when I wanna be!'. I've never wanted to be thought of as a bitch or called a bitch, and I've never thought of myself as a bitch. (Although I do admit there have been times I have said or done things that I later regretted, and maybe briefly deserved that title.)

Women have always been strong. We only need to know a small bit about world history to know that. But I do agree........we have lost a certain amount of that fine art of grace and charm that used to warm a mans heart.

You're a good man Rilly.........and a smart one too. wink

why it it that it so hard to find a nice guy half want you just for sex and the another half a ass: click here to read the entire thread »

Yes..........I would. But I have to agree with what others have said............trust in ANY kind of relationship these days, whether it be friendship, co-workers, love interests, sometimes even family members, seems to be a major hurdle for most of us to get over. Without the trust, there can be no love.

Would you quit job, sell car, house, tv and move after someone if you had fallen in LOVE?: click here to read the entire thread »

morganlee: I worked for 2 yrs with children with Learning Disabilties

that were terminally ill, also worked with the elderly , part of the job is also supporting the families

i think that was the hardest part and it affected me deeply and made me question many things.

It's been my experience that when faced with life and death situations, whether it be yourself or a loved one, we do tend to question many things and even change our thought patterns.

Aries01: I agree its very much a situational thing.. depends on the level of feelings etc.. I wouldn't say never.. but I wouldn't just for the sake of it (would be pity based..not right).. having said that.. friendship.. definitely (if there were a basis for same)

That is what I was also thinking...........

Think this is really hard to answer unless you are in that situation, but my gut feeling is no having had a

career working with people that are sick or dying i don't think i could[/quote

A part of me has to agree with you. The career you chose, in my opinion, takes not only a strong willed person, but also a person with unending kindness and caring for mankind to be able to care for them in their dying hours. I truly admire you. hug

keytone: I know someone that did,,,haven't talked to them for a while though. seems to me that if you fell in love with someone than nothing else would matter,,I know that is only my view,,,just should not stop you from loving them.
;-}

But Could you fall in love with someone knowing that they were terminally ill when you met them?
