Friends with benefits is a great thing as long as that's stated right up front so nothing more is expected. On and off over the yrs i've had just that and it worked for me. When i had an itch, it was scratched until next time. No one to complicate things or make demands on me. I always continued to look for someone and if i started dating someone we'd put the friends thing on hold. I have never cheated in a relationship and never will.I also don't sleep around either. I had the same "friend with benefits" for over 8yrs.Obviously, we became best friends and helped each other thru alot over the yrs. We're still very close but just as friends now. For me, it works great. I'm not into one nite stands and never have been. I'd do it again if i found someone but i'd still continue searching for someone special to share my whole life with.

Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile. I worked in a jail for 8yrs so i can totally relate.

Sweet Home Alabama. I love anything to do with small country towns. Anything country actually. I'd love to live in a town just like the one in the movie.

Generation X. It's makes u question how u judge people and ur prejudices against certain types of people. Your thinking changes throught the movie about urself and about the people in it. I cried at the end but it's definately not a chick flick. I highly recommend.

I love Grease and Saturday Night Fever and Fasttimes at Ridgemont high. Total classics that never fade.I even loved Grease 2..lol

My Best Friends Wedding, Steel Magnolias great chick flicks.

Ray with Jaime Fox was totally amazing

I went to see Larry the Cable guy recently and he was all ticked off that we have to say "Happy Holidays" now so we don't offend anyone instead of saying "Merry Christmas". I guess I'm living in a cave cuz I didn't know it was a problem until then and now that's all I'm hearing. Who are we offending all of a sudden and why? I say both but mostly I wish everyone a Merry Christmas. How does everyone else feel? This is from me and Larry... Merry Christmas everyone!!

Just let Roy be. I'm hoping he's happy and more importantly comes back to the forums. I definately miss him much. We all know he's had it rough and has come a long way with self improvement so why he was set up with someone who has trust issues is beyond me. Relationships, new or old should enhance ur life not fill it with more drama. Roy, don't let anyone influence ur relationship. If ur enjoying urself with ur new lady and the 2 of u are happy that's what matters. Don't let anyone ever decide ur happiness for you. Please don't stay gone for long. You have friends here who care and just wanna have u around not expose u or ur personal life.

I loooooooooooooove men so i won't bash. I know exactly what ur saying. Internet dating is tough. You really have to go into it with an open mind. I've dated guys off the net that i never would of dated if i met the usual way cuz i've gotten to know them from the inside out which i happen to enjoy more. I don't lower my standards but some i did find attractive that i wouldn't of normally. And for the record guys seem to get confused on their body type also. They say "average" when they are way over the "few extra lbs" label. I happen to love guys with a few extra lbs. I guess it's all in how we precieve ourselves. I'm full figured and state that but i'm happy with how i am and think i'm still sexy and beautiful. If we don't have a problem with ourselves we think the guy/girl we've been talking to for a while won't either. Kenny says it best..know when to hold em, know when to fold em, know when to walk away and know when to run..LOL Good luck in ur search.

Amy

Why do u want to be rated? No one knows u yet since ur new so u'd be rated on ur looks at this point and that's high schoolish.

I think it can be dangerous so i always drive myself and meet in a public place for a while. I've met quite a few guys online. One i dated for 4yrs and i'm best friends with still, one i dated for 6 months. Bedroom issues with that one. lol I actually came close to thinkin about marriage with another but now he's long distance and i just can't do that now with my parents getting older. I love net dating and will continue to do it but continue doing it safely. It mirrors real life dating equally i think. You can still meet someone off the streets and be dangerous and u still run into the same problems with net dating as in real life dating with guys/girls so makes no difference to me how i meet someone as long as they're honest and a good person....and HOT of course lol

So much sadness and heavy times happening for so long now. Seems like we search and wait to hear of good news, the smallest piece even, from anyone, anywhere so we can believe times won't always be this rough, hurtful, trying or heavy hearted. My heart and love goes out to u, ur friend and his family Optional. Once again, there's no good news to share. You do have friends here in the forums to help in any way we can so when u need us we'll be here to listen. Be strong when u have to and weak when u need to. God bless

Mind if i measure? hahahaha just kidding. Depends on how i meet them i guess. I would ask if they're married or if they're close to their family. Family's important to me and i'd want to know how well they treat their parents.

More times than not it's my sentimentality making an ass outta myself. lol That's ok tho. I like my sappy romantic over the top sentimental side. I'm always aware of the situation i just choose to not bail at the first sign of trouble.

Never apologize for ur opinion or speaking ur mind. As long as u don't hurt anyone you don't have to make any excuses. I keep thinking about the Dixie Chicks. I think they hurt themselves by saying what they did which is rediculous if u ask me. The presidents approval rating has never been lower now so if u want my opinion, they knew what they were saying and i'm on their side. I love them and miss their music. Opinions are just that..someone's own views on a topic and not everyone needs to agree with it but i think they need to be heard. Not punished or made to feel bad. Well, that's my 2 cents for the day. If i have change comin back let me know. ; )
