I totally agree with everyone else. I just have to say that I feel your pain, and feel it well. I say this because I don't love myself as much as a lot of women do, but I'm willing to start by trying my damnedest to like myself to start off.

I'm with ya, girl, let's gain that confidence together hug

Besides, I'm the same age as you...it really sucks being this age and single. frustrated

I just received this and thought it was great, would love to share it with you guys....WHAT A GREAT ANALOGY OF GOD FOR THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW
BY ROBIN WILLIAMS NO LESS

This is one of the best explanations
of why God allows pain and suffering
that I have seen. It's an explanation
other people will understand.

A man went to a barbershop to have
his hair cut and his beard trimmed.
As the barber began to work,
They talked about so many things
and various subjects.

When they eventually touched on
the subject of God, the barber said:
'I don't believe that God exists.'

'Why do you say that?'
asked the customer.
'Well, you just have to go out in
the street to realize that God
doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists,
would there be so many sick people?
Would there be abandoned children?
If God existed, there would be neither
suffering nor pain.
I can't imagine loving a God who
would allow all of these things.'

The customer thought for a moment,
but didn't respond because he didn't
want to start an argument.
The barber finished his job and the customer
left the shop.
Just after he left the barbershop,
he saw a man in the street with long,
stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed
beard.
He looked dirty and un-kept.

The customer turned back and entered
the barber shop again and he said
to the barber:
'You know what? Barbers do not exist.'

'How can you say that?'
asked the surprised barber.
'I am here, and I am a barber.
And I just worked on you!'

'No!' the customer exclaimed.
'Barbers don't exist because
if they did, there would be no
people with d irty long hair
and untrimmed beards,
like that man outside.'

'Ah, but barbers DO exist!
What happens is, people
do not come to me.'

'Exactly!'-
affirmed the customer.
'That's the point!
God, too, DOES exist!
What happens, is, people
don't go to Him
and do not look for Him.
That's why there's so much pain
and suffering in the world.'
BE BLESSED & BE A BLESSING!

'Do not ask the Lord to guide your footsteps if you're not willing to move your feet.'

That's really cool way to say it. I always attributed it to ourselves, the reason for suffering and pain in the world. That we make choices that take us farther away from God, and because we are so far away, we are unhappy.
It's kinda like moving away from family, you know they're there for you, but sometimes when they're not immediately close to you, you feel lost.

Well, I grew up in a family that spankings were customary...but I don't think there's anything wrong with it, as long as you don't try taking it to extremes...
You know, belts, hairbrushes, spatulas, flyswaters, rulers, yardsticks...I think that's going overboard.
I have a best friend who had to go out in the back yard and pick his own switch to get spanked with...said that hurt like hell.
But there has to be a reason. I mean if you actually think there would be a solid reason, that the kid would learn something from it. But if they're not, why do it?

I guess I just have to say that I couldn't do it, don't see any benefit from it. I believe that if people are married, they're married. If people are still together, but not even trying to act like they're married, what the hell are they waiting for, K-State to win the NCAA championship?! They just need to end it because it'll hurt both of them more in the long run.

I would...
You're not really living life to the fullest if you're not taking those chances.
There may be things that you could learn from the person and the experience that you wouldn't have otherwise. :)

Wow it's great to see most hide when the question is asked.....and just put down sex as a safety net........

Hey we can learn more by being honest and I may always be up for laughs but here is no my expectation.........

but what I believe should be shared....
The new relationship should be based on....

Chemistry to start off with that will mind boggle scientists....

Trust that is a mutual thing built by both partners, time and time again.

Love that will grow to unimaginable heights to carry onto the next line......and

Intimacy that will have the neighbours wearing ear plugs....

Laughter that will always be there no matter how dumb I can be.

Freindship so that I can always be me and still be loved by my partner.

Balance 50/50 making decisions together and agreeing apon them together.

Our Dreams, Our Hopes and our Fantasies.

Honesty to walk hand and hand with all the above and leave no uncertainty....

anyway

JMO

That's so wonderful...I'd love to have that...

I believe that for me, as a non-cooking lady, I am very useful for other things, almost anything else...
I love to clean and do laundry, I am usually the one that puts things together, I hook up and work the electronics, my decorating isn't too bad, take care of the dog, watch other people's kids if they need it...
I'm just not very useful in the kitchen, is all.
Helping in the kitchen, sure, but not taking responsibility for it.
