The Date update. Ahem......can,t say how I found out but it seems the date did have a hidden agenda (not mine). Turns out lady in question wanted to make contact with other possible collaborators through me. So the seemingly innocent social nature of the date, chit chatting about other people with the same interest....ah fck it. See, I never learn, always take people at fact value.

The big problem as I see it is distance. I,ve met lots of great friends here, but that is as far as it goes. How can it go any further with such great distance between us all. Either one of you or both of you (like Flor and Gongman)would have to move. Given all our coloured histories in the field of love I can,t see it happening. I admire Flor and Gongman for their great leap of faith in things turning out well,well done both. Anyway, just ignore me I,m just a cynical old bastard who enjoys trying to make others as miserable as me.

A rollercoaster of a week which ended rather splendidly.

Got my first real date since my divorce.....

Twas my birthday (18th).....

Daughter has booked her flight to come and stay with me from next week......

All my students passed their exams with great marks.....

Business year ended yesterday and in the end we made quite a good profit....(s,funny, a few months ago we predicted a dismal outcome, decided to be extra careful and as a result got a positive result).

On the slightly negative side...had to work like stink (end of year reports,exams, homework, certificates, business meetings, teaching hours.....and so on and so forth) and ended up absolutely knackered.

And now it,s all over for the next four months. Time to hit the beach and chill out big style,and my god we need it.



ps can you believe...went out last night to celebrate, got in at two am, couldn,t sleep til about 3.30 ! Then at 5.30 two inconsiderate bstds buzzed my door buzzer and would not stop til I got out of bed to answer them, only to find out they were looking for somebody called Carmen ! Told them they were inconsiderate bstds and went back to bed. Inconsiderate bstds, I hate em.

Well, it,s like this Lago. For a year after my divorce I did nothing, too fckd up to bother. Then for two years I put myself around a little socially (in the nicest possible way)and got absolutely nowhere. So I suppose I,m suffering from a rejection overload. Anyway, one thing I have realised is that these days it is the woman who makes the first and subsequent moves. It doesn,t matter how much a man wants something, if the woman doesn,t want then it aint gonna happen.
So I,m afraid the first move is all yours ladies.

So,so true Smokey in all aspects of life. Women stick together no matter what (thick as thieves ). Women in general will even supoort another woman they know is wrong, unless of course she,s really really bad. Men however tend to need no encouragement to cut each other up and see getting one over another man as a deserved conquest.
