Just what would be considered normal conversationw ith anyone else.........
I don't have an emotional attachment to any of the past these days. It's just like a factual story, could be about anyone...
I do understand whatyou are saying though. No one can go forward by going back......
Actually I think sometimes we have to go back in order to go forward, just as long as we don,t get trapped in the shit of the past.
It,s true when I look back sometimes it,s like it wasn,t really me, which I think is some sort of internal mechanism we use to protect ourselves from the hurts of the past.
Also, I know what you mean about just making a simple conversation turning into one upmanship. I had an ex mother in law just the same.
It comes down to their basic insecurity. Sometimes people just can,t stand the idea that you might be smarter than them because they think that you think that you are therefore better than them. That,s why they need to put you down. A sign of immaturity I,m afraid.
Personally I love being with people smarter than me and then maybe I can learn something from them. THAT is why I,m on CS.
