I can imagine that a group like ACORN would want to be in the polls as well. I have heard that they want to do a voter assistance program(standing over someone shoulder to read the ballot for them).

I am only 1 person.....replacing me is easy as pie. But if 400-500 of my
coworkers in county walk as well.....that is a different deal. If 7000-8000 from Florida walk out as well.....this state does not vote on the 4th.

$147.00 a barrel of crude oil was like a crowbar that forced open the eyes of those people who drive around in gigantic pickup trucks and SUV's that their choices of vehicles was not sustainable. People were forced to choose between food, prescriptions, clothes, mortgage payments and..............gasoline.
Diesel fuel was even higher than gas which drove the price of everything that travelled by truck including food to new highs just at the time when people had less money to devote to anything OTHER than gas.
Now that the pump price of gasoline has fallen dramatically, my concern is that people will naturally start firing up those huge gas pigs again. The other side of the coin however, is that fewer people need gas to get to work because they don't have a job to go to.

BTW, has anybody seen or heard ANYTHING from Dick Chaney lately?

It took me four schools and five years to get my degree in Journalism. The first school was geared more toward pre-law. When I changed my major I transferred to a better school for my degree but could not get in-state tuition (regardless of the fact that we had been paying state taxes since they created state taxes).

So I cancelled out during the first two-week enrollment period and headed home to Rutgers University where I WAS able to get in-state tuition.... But by then I missed the enrollment period and ended up at the local college to pick up a few easy credits. Because I went from two different school systems.... I lost additional credits and more time.

Still managed to graduate in the top fifth of my class in a large program from a school with a 102% placement rate for print journalists.

So don't be so quick to judge.... there may be a perfectly good reason Governor Palin transferred around. She did, after all, managed to become one of the first in her field as Governor of Alaska. I doubt she just fell off the chicken truck....

I dont really know that much about it all Ship, I have sky news on in the background, heard this report and was surprised somebody here hadnt mentioned it - Im really getting pretty concerned for all of you - am I right that a President isnt allowed to serve a third term? if so, at least you wont have to deal with another term of Bush.........
