I have found myself, that even though i forgive, those that have endeared themselves to me or have become a part of my life i tend to forget the mistakes they and myself had made thru time... Course I also have forgot the math formula for Pi.(probably a good thing this memory loss stuff) I beleive the good will always out weigh the bad eventually... its those short term relationships that i can recall that has more bad memories than those long relationship I experienced.

Between the pharmaceutical,doctors,medical professionals, and those insurance lobbyists I'm not quite sure if Our government actually is controlling anything but the rhetoric they are instructed to tell us.

funny yet sad, but I think more and more everyday that our elected officials in state and federal positions are merely citizen lobbyists... and currently corporation and special interests group lobbyists outnumber the citizen lobbyists 10 ifnot 20 to 1.

Thank you for wording this so well, I've thought this for a long time. I've have/had people introduce me to others with "Meet my friend...", yet in truth I know nothing about them and them about me except maybe first names or that I see them at sporting events or parties or the local pub. Even online we share common interests or lifestyles. Yes I believe that term "Friend(s)and Relationship" has somehow lost its true meaning with the advancement of technology.

this always confuses me donations... charitable, yet those that give expect a tax break?


I see it this way if someone or organization wants to give a chartable donation then why at tax time they get to deduct from thier owed taxes which in turns deplete the tax revenue which in turns causes me to have to pay more in taxes down the road.
it's like giving by proxy and guess what I cannot aford to be chartible with my funds.... now Time I can donate actual labor and work I can donate... but its funny I cannot deduct that on my taxes... Go figure.

theres the tricky part finding a counselor that you both
respect/like... another fight then ensues.

have friends and they tried the counseling and after only three sessions the counselor told them both divorce was the best route for them... they both called the counselor a quack...

they still together and still argue all the time.

Well, i just returned from preparing my mother and father breakfast.
nothing elaborate fresh squeezed Orange juice, French toast and a fruit salad with fresh ground coffee... I think what my mom enjoyed the most was I cleaned up afterwards. I'm not exactly the clean as you go type of cook, and she finally had a chance to appreciate all those counter top appliances which she rarely uses.(past mothers day gifts)

I hope all the Mothers on CS have a memorable day.

of late in my area it seems by no fault of their own they have been delegated to raise revenue for the governments. traffic tickets have increased.( 5 miles over, burned out tail light, no proof of insurance on person (yet computers in all cruisers)... seed hunters on floor boards) In the past their presence brought a sense of security, now I worry that I'll be ticketed because my veggie garden resembles noxious weeds, or because I chose top walk home from a neighborhood tavern i get ticketed for public intoxication.

All this and why because they are so under manned that a report of shots fired or a fight or brawl or domestic dispute,safety requires they wait until back-up is available.

Yeah they are getting a raw deal, as fast as they can arrest, the accused in on the street... Even our county sheriff said on TV it takes 3 to 4 convictions of auto theft before one will get jail time... yeah its like emptying a bathtub with a coffee cup and the spigot is running full force.

But as my sainted mother says " I don't care how many tickets they (police) write as long as my property taxes don't go up." So, on that note I'll offer any officer I encounter an ink pen, as long as the ink is not used against me.

Yeah I think with what tools they have and are able to do we all should say a sincere "Thank You" to the officers we may encounter in our daily lives.

It's no an easy answer but one that maybe the public at large should have the final say.

I have at one time or another in the past ten years felt one or more of these sentiments, and these where fueled by the medias desperate need to increase subscriptions and revenue. sure there are radical Muslims just as there are radicals Christians and all other ilk of belief systems. I can only suggest and point out that using the media as the source of irrefutable fact and truth is and has become the biggest mistake any common citizen or human being can make. this hatred she speaks is as logical as condemning an entire family for the actions of one of its members example the columbine incident should we not also purge the world of th9s strand of DNA in order to assure no other member of that family will breed and perhaps give life to anohter Wacko?

As Mercedes says its just one persons opinion, well I felt it only proper to post mine here. A sad commentary on how we as educated individuals can malign an entire ethnic or nationality for the actions of a few. I hope the rest of the world does not judge me by the actions /inactions of an American corporation or political party.

from your past experiences how do most of your relationships start?
Whether it be business, friends or dating are you one that starts off with a bang or slow and steady?

some of us ask for a date at the first encounter, others after a few meetings

some are great on first couple of dates yet fade as time goes on while others are the opposite. personally I have a uncanny knack for talking myself in and out of a womans bed in one sentence on initial meetings but after they take the time to see the whole picture they tend to warm-up to my personality... much like saying one tests well but when it comes to applying what they know they are definitely lacking in ability.
