I'm thankful for having the friends I do, here and in RL. I'm thankful that I have the talents I was born with...and specifically I am thankful that I met Joli when I did. Six more hours and I would have been history here...uh oh!

I Only Wish

the anger is lasting longer.
Waiting for somone to realize,
hoping for the dream to materialize.
Pursuing it feels right,
trying with all my might,

The emotions break me,
yet the goal still tempts me.
Again I try and over again,
and every time I feel the pain.

understanding must come to go,
waiting for someone to realize,...to know. Sean J.G.T.

I agree totally. Playing games with these people does no good. Someone sitting down and thinking they can negotiate with terrorists is nuts. Anyone who believes that needs their head examined. JMO....humbly, of course.

There is no room for compromise with these people, because they refuse to compromise their position. Extremism and absolutism in any form is dangerous. In Democrats as well as Republicans...in fundamentalist Muslims as well as fundamentalist Christians.

We have to learn to moderate our opinions as citizens of the same planet, or suffer the consequences of polar actions.thumbs up

GB, did the article tell any specific things that sometimes happen?

I do remember on Grays Anatomy, someone had a wishbone stuck inside them.

It was cursory at best. It did mention people with high blood pressure eating foods high in sodium, and peritonitis from a burst appendix associated with too much food ingested...dunno

According to an article I was just reading Thanksgiving is one of the busiest times in the Emergency room for food related injuries.

People eat too much, or eat too rich of food, or too high in sodium.

Gluttony is one of the seven deadly sins, but I guess we get a pass on Thanksgiving...laugh

But Karma doesn't care what day it is. Overindulge, and you will suffer the consequences.

Anyone have any stories about food related injuries on Turkey Day. If so, please share with us.

Thank you, for being
Thank you, for seeing
Past the rough and ready
To the gentle and steady
To probe the hard shell
To the place where fairies dwell
Inside my enclosed heart.

Thanks for giving
A reason for living
More then just existing
Love theres no resisting
And on Thanksgiving day
That's what I
Really want to say
Thanks for being
My one and only.
Thanks for banishing
All the lonely
The hell, I say,
Has gone away
And heaven is
All that I see,
Thanks for giving
Me a reason to be.

Its not a dream. Its a nightmare. We make our reality, with our attitudes.

People refuse to live in the now...and have to keep dragging up the past because the future is so scary...and it always will be, as long as people hold grudges...

Discern a pattern here? I do...its called...a vicious circle...D'oh! mumbling
