I've been watching Disney Productions all my life, and when I worked at Hollywood video, that's all we were allowed to play in the store monitors, so I've grown to be a fair conneisseur of Walt's Legacy...

My two personal favorites are Beauty and the Beast and Hercules, but Bambi was the first movie I ever saw in theaters when young...smitten

Care to post your thoughts...?

Remember. If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all...professor wink

Mohandas Gandhi advocated a form of revolution of passive resistance known as Satyagraha. I challenge people to use this principle against their own worst tendencies in their life. The tendency to distrust is common in this scam-filled electronic world, but ultimately is attributible, again, to our own worst tendencies. Ultimatly we have to take responsibility for our distrust and understand that it is universal. Everybody in the world is afraid. Courage doesn't mean not being afraid, it means being afraid and acting anyway. It is no different in love. But first you must have a revolution, and love yourself.

Be afraid. But risk everything. Don't be the coward that dies a thousand deaths. Live once, and live happy. There will only ever be one of you.

"A coward is incapable of exhibiting love; it is the prerogative of the brave."-Mohandas Gandhi.

Worth salt,
He and she
Angel's two
And they
Will be
Worth salt
In any world
When their
Destiny's
Unfurled.

Love and
Loving-kindness
Is their fate
Goes to show
Its never too late
To find love in
This mystery
So hate-filled
With misery,
And when Angels
Find each other
The card that's
Dealt is the Lover's.

If people only knew what romantic meant...they wouldn't be so eager to find it...who wants someone to die young and tragically all for the sake of a star-crossed love? D'oh!

That's the tradition anyway...laugh rolling eyes cool

Shall I compare thee
To an angel pure,
Sunlike beauty,
Loneliness' cure?

Shall I make thee
A pedastal on high?
An angel, after all
Lives in the sky.

Shall I make thee
Wife, and take
Thee into starry night
To light my way when
I'm afright?

Shall I compare thee
When comparison
Cannot be made,
Thou art more beautiful
Than a sunny, flow'ry glade.

"The three big domestic automakers are now saying they are working jointly on a new hybrid car. It runs on a combination of state and federal bailout money." --Jay Leno

"The annual People magazine "World's Sexiest Man" issue is on the stands today. Hugh Jackman is the sexiest man alive. But this is odd -- Al Franken is demanding a recount." --David Letterman

"And the longest-serving Republican senator, Ted Stevens of Alaska, was just convicted of seven felonies. He's on his way to jail, lost his Senate race in a squeaker, a squeaker. Which, ironically, is what they call the new guy in prison." --Jay Leno

"Yesterday was a nice day. Barack Obama's daughters Malia and Sasha made their first visit to the White House. The girls were excited to see where they'll be living, and President Bush was excited to finally have somebody to play hide-and-seek with." --Conan O'Brien

"The word is that Hillary Clinton does want the job as secretary of state. And as you know, the secretary of state serves at the pleasure of the president, to which Bill said, 'Yeah, that will be a first.'" --Jay Leno

"How about that Sarah Palin? A lot of people said, what will happen to her when she goes back to being the governor of Alaska? Don't worry: book deal, $7 million. She got it through a guy named Joe the Publisher." --David Letterman

"Barack Obama says one of his top priorities once he becomes president is closing down Guantanamo Bay. To make it closes, he's going to turn it into a bank." --Jay Leno

"President-elect Obama met with former political rival John McCain. Did you see that? They got together. ... And both men said it was a relief to put their differences aside, sit down, and really make fun of Sarah Palin." --Conan O'Brien

"For those that don't follow politics closely, the secretary of state is the person who travels all over the world, meeting with foreign leaders for weeks and sometimes months at a time with long stretches of being away from his or her husband, but that's just a sacrifice Bill isn't willing to make. It's almost as if he told Obama, 'Listen, I'll campaign for you, I'll raise money, just get her the hell out of here, as far away as possible.'" --Jimmy Kimmel

"Political experts say Hillary Clinton may not be given the position of secretary of state because of Bill Clinton's activities. Did you know that? Yeah. Yeah, when he heard this, Bill said, 'It's only fair; she denies me positions all the time.'" --Conan O'Brien

"President-elect Obama is meeting every day with his transition team, or in Beltway lingo, his trannies. They are helping him pick who will be in his new government. Over 7,000 presidential appointments are up for grabs. The Obama administration is making history once again by being the only place in America that is currently hiring." --Stephen Colbert

I wished upon
a star one day
That true love
would finally
Come my way

I wished and
It was granted
Although delivery
Was slightly slanted
Some things take
A little patience,
Some things take
A little time, but
Now I know its
All worth it, now
I know you're mine.

For Joli-Beans heart beating heart heart wings

So, if I post the piece I noted above you will see how christians are pushing this "rapture", how they are feeding the fear pipeline with talk of the end of the world in 2012, among other things

The only person I see pushing this rapture business is YOU!

I tell you, I have no sympathy with people (so-called Christians or others) who promote hatred.

I am really not interested in the end of the world, what will happen, when it shall take place................ all an individual can do is his/her best to lead as decent a life as they are capable of.

If there is a God and if He is a forgiving God, so be it.

If God is an unforgiving monster I can't fight him but I could despise him.

If there is no God and no life after death - great, one can die in the peace of being enveloped by a great nothingness.

However, I'd say that the BASIC principles of world religions are GOOD and are complimentary to what most people would want in a decent society. Whether these laws are man made laws or from some omnipotent being, does it really matter?

When religious laws are interpreted in an evil way - e.g. to stone to death a woman for getting pregnant after beibng raped, The Spanish Inquisition etc........I'll object as any sane person would do.

By the time you are able to object it will be too late. The Jews already sacrificed 6 million to this line of reasoning...shall we make it 11 million? And no, I don't hate. Normally I don't get involved in these debates. Being a buddhist, I believe the universe tends to unfold as it should. But karma is karma, and if you feel that this is hatred, all I can say is its karma way overdue.

WOW. So, Galactic, when are we starting "Martian 101" lessons?

You'd have to read the book...basically "grok" is to understand, but it was written during Heinlein's "flower power" period, and has a lot to do with being on the same wavelength...thumbs up

Republicans are American not Canadian. Clean up your back yard before you worry about ours. While your at it, get yourself a good history book and learn the real facts. Ask the people that use to live behind the Iron Curtain under Russian control if they like Republicans. Hell yes they do.
Ronald Reagan brought respect back to America after that wussy Carter left us in disgrace.

So, the machinations of Reagan and Ollie North in the Iran-Contra scandal had nothing to do with you thinking Carter left us in disgrace, eh?

Carter might have been a wussy, but I'd rather have an honest wussy than a crooked, "senile" bastard who will do anything to win, including making deals with a country that's now considered a terrorist country.

Yah...Republicans are so cool. Making deals with the Ayatollah to discredit the then current president...

Amazing. The OP is reviled for revisionist history, but you've no qualms about using it yourself, when it suits your needs...D'oh! sigh
