Familiarity breeds contempt, or so they say. I 've been on here for a long time and have posted what I believe to be true and real. I have invested emotions towards members who I thought were of like mind, only to be betrayed. Life is hard enough without cyber-friends blind siding you. No, I'm not crouching in a corner, sucking my thumb. We are all dysfunctional, it's a matter of degrees.

So easy to sit at a PC and portion out words that you'd never have the fortitude to say one on one. Likely the main reason why we're on this site in the first place. Can't make it in the real world ? Just join a singles site and fantasize at someone else's emotional expence.

Be well. Paws.

While I do agree with MOST of you, that race...ethnicity...skin color should not be a factor in choosing a mate and it truly is about the person and who they are........
I also agree with Phil. This thread/poll in itself is racist! And Leo, I know you are not one to shy away from controversial issues.....but I have never known you to be one encite such an issue??? I have to say that I am terribly disappointed in you.
I've read in a number of threads recently about the differences of opinions about religions and I've seen several comments slamming Muslims, Catholics, Mormons, etc.....
Racism.......bigotry.......whatever you care to label it.......isn't it all a form of non-acceptance? Just the same as slamming someone for their religious beliefs as far as I am concerned!

Me thinks thou d'ost protest too much.

My previous threads on the oil crisis is real. Our governments don't have the guts to tell us the truth. In ancient Greek times , the bearer of bad news was executed. Every politician on earth will and is lying to you. Do you really think that this energy crisis is just some game ? WE ARE OUT OF OIL.

For your own sake, do some research on it. Take your head out of the sand. Again, wake the f* up. Or are you too much involved in your TV show , watering the lawn, saving for your retirement which will never happen ?

Perhaps it's time to turn my garage into a stable and start cutting wood in the summer. I'm thinking that will happen before the oil runs out simply because of the cost of fuel.

Do it and do it now.

??? not quite sure of what that means...LOLBut you popsted, that you aren't talking about just skin color.

This is true. Other backgounds, would be of no problem. But religious background, or I should say beliefs, would be a factor. I could never marry a Muslim, or a Christian, or a Roman Catholic. I am too strongly against violence and religion.

Cultural backgrounds are not a problem, though.

Same dilemma here. As an Agnostic I could never marry an Mormon etc.

Ok after reading this and carefully thinking it through
I have to think that the gov. and the oil company's are going to suck every last nickel out of oil until we can no longer afford to purchase fuel
I believe they already have some other way to get our money and are just holding back until They are no longer profiting from oil. The gov. is not going to ever try to stop them because Higher fuel prices mean higher prices on every thing else which= more tax dollars.

Good point, but very soon we will not be able to pay taxes. Look at the closures of plants which depend on oil to produce products which we can no longer afford.

I am not yelling that the "Sky is falling". I have done my homework on this subject. This is the beginning of the end, witnessed by you each time you fill up, or pay your gas bill. Food as you are witnessing will double in cost within 2 years.

When oil became the life-blood of the Western world at the turn of the last century, it was thought that it would last forever. To date we have used up way more than half of what remains. The rest can't be recovered because of the energy it needs to recover it. Example; The Canadian Oil Sands, within the near future, it will take a barrel of oil to recover a barrel of oil. Meanwhile the corporations and governments are cashing in their last chips for the greatest profits, and they are doing it NOW. They know the facts. The average corporate head or senior politician is 50 years old, and they only care about their BMW, mansion, golf club membership and winters in the Barbados.

This is a FACT.
