jbibiza: Having grown up in these times with the values I have... obviously the answer is NO. National Geographic did a really interesting article on black market slavery and guess what? The two countries with the most slaves were Great Britain and the USA. Women and men who are enticed to those countries in hopes of a better life, of being able to provide for their families only to be locked in rooms and their passports taken to be used for what ever purpose their handlers choose, from prostitution to sweatshops. It´s truly disgusting in this day and age when we know better.

RayfromUSA: I was slim all my life and only weighed 135 lbs at age 41 when the symptoms of neurological problem first began to appear.

But since that time I have become increasingly sedentary and now I weigh 185. Exercize is out of the question so diet is my only option. But in the absence of physical activity, even though I eat less than most people, it's still too many calories.

My point is just that being overweight isn't always a case of no willpower. There are genetic, metabolic, hormonal, cultural, nutritional,...factors involved.

Fat is not always avoidable,
but thank God that beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, and flavors.

If someone's face isn't beautiful, maybe their voice is, or their sense of humor, or their poetry, or their personality,
etc etc etc.

druidess6308: Even coming from a man, I found this post to be distasteful. Not all men are whores, there are decent ones out there. And if two consenting adults are looking for a long term relationship, but the connection is strong enough that they end up having sex on their first date, who's to judge them? It's nobody's right to do that, honestly...it's between the two of them. It does not imply a lack of respect for oneself or each other, nor does it mean that the two lack self control. Sometimes, you just know it's right and enjoy yourselves, and there's nothing wrong with that.
