Picture taken in US Army uniform, Caucasian American but has oriental tiny eyes. The name used :Micheal Potter Smith.

Just want to warn all the women looking for their soul-mates online.
Beware! This is the true story.....Someone with a neat profile God fearing, don't smoke, don't drink and picture of an officer in US Army now deployed in Iraq for peace-keeping mission. The usual stuffs like divorced for 10 years, one teenage daughter living in New York and he owns a 5 bedroom house in Virginia and it will be a perfect family etc

So he fell madly in love and non-stop professing that it was God's will for this match made in Heaven.On 1st chat he asked to install a web-cam. The chatting went on for a week then came this big news that he receive an award from the Iraqi Govt. for turning in the cash found. Next he was sending someone with a suitcase of US$1.6 million and want you to keep it for him till he gets out of Iraq.

Next comes the exciting part....His man was sent by him on a mission to bring this suitcase to you locked and only you have the code to open it. He asked for home address and telephone number etc Passport of this courier was scanned over, with pic and details.

Next come a desperate call from this courier stuck in Accra airport and need money to be paid to customs before allowing him to take the next connecting flight.He paid with whatever cash he had (US$1000) and balance of $700 must be wired via Western Union urgently.

I did a check and found out that the two men-the one in the profile & the courier were in the same computer locations when one was supposed to be in Iraq, the courier in Ghana. The courier was cornered into making up a British Airways locator number for his travel itinenary which turned out to be false too.

Desperate phone calls 3-4 times a day urging for the money to be sent so he can take the next flight.Of course he did not receive one cent from Western Union.

Beware! This is another one of those famous African Scams! These freaking men from Ghana think that all women have pig brains or what?
But I do believe that this is a big syndicate based in Accra, Ghana and they employed these jokers to trap those women who have no experience. Though their command of English is atrocious, for people of such low calibre they did put up quite a good play!

I often wonder how some ppl can be happily married when you see them hand-in-hand in the park at 80+? May be sometimes sex is less fulfilled because of wrong partners and no chemistry! The same man/woman that fail to satisfy you may find others more exciting in bed and be alive again. Minus sex, may be some ppl stay together in a relationship out of compassion and pity?

In summary, it takes two to tango! The blame should not be laid on one party alone.

Back to webcam, can we be sure that what we see is the actual person with the name he gave. How do you verify that? Unless you can meet up and see his ID.

Well-said, you have a very good and positive attitude. I believe if a person prefer to lie about everything then he/she will have to continue to lies for the rest of the life. Can long term relationship or marriage survive through lies? Everybody know the answer I am sure!

In this wonderful Universe, we attract what we are most of the times. If we are sincere and honest, people who are attracted to us would likewise be the same too. I have total faith in the forces of the Universe bringing people of like-mindedness or levels together most of the times. Just surrender yourself, there is no need to look hard for anything you seek. You don't have to wonder, like anything in life you should give it a try to satisfy your curiousity. What is young or old? It's all in the mind right? Older women were once young too and have all the features of younger women.

By the same token, younger men are not necessarily better than older men. This has been proven I am sure based on the various postings.
Just look at the marriage between Demi Moore and Ashton, he is about same age as her daughter I think. They look like a happier couple than most.

Bottomline...don't let age form a barrier, it is the connection level between two individuals that matter most.

Interesting story but be more cautious next time around. Just to share, I have a girlfriend who spend a lot of time online and met many of them after chatting online but she never got into situation like this!
Guess what? She always suggest to meet the man on Sunday morning, then go to attend church service with the man. Some never go beyond 1st date and she is still hunting for Mr Right.

I don't think we can generalise by saying who are exciting or boring because in every culture, regardless of race or color and wherever it may be, you are find all kinds of people. By the way, I am very familiar with your home country Canada and have been there countless times. During the year, I actually reside in 3 countries California, Malaysia and Thailand so I am rather exposed to other cultures.
I don't know what you mean when you said "I understand your situation being from Thailand"? Have you ever travelled out of Canada? Just curious.
